C5 OEM

Started on the rear arches, cleaned and also treated the arch liner with a stain and water repellent spray.....

Decided to start the clean up before Stanford Hall, still need to paint the brakes and wishbones but got a good start on it.....machine polished the inside of the wheel which came up well.....

Having sold my red vr had a while off buying something else.... Spec wise has the rns 510, 18 monza in original finish,cruise,leather,mfsw,dsg,winter pack. Replaced both rear lights and just added some more layers of wax....future plans to detail the whole underside, wheels off and do all the brakes and suspension ready for next year...also a remap....nothing exciting just enjoying a really nice clean gti that is so much nicer than messing around with older vw`s that i have been doing the last few years...

I think the car itself could be a stunning car in the right hands, one owner, paperwork, lowest miles i`ve ever seen, its just the condition does not reflect the price or the miles/owners.... In regards to current values are they really selling at high prices....? i see chris`s old one still for sale and the other green one at 15k ish... but not selling or sold.... I do believe the corrado has suffered with low values in comparison to other vw`s for years but there has to be a realistic ceiling value on any car.... Even mk2`s have dropped off on prices top end, its just the lower end that has risen due to many being broken and fewer examples....

Another point is insurance values.... how many insurance companies will give a guaranteed value of 20k on a corrado vr6....?

Two different things, a restored car and a low miler..... unless its been very very looked after the low miler will always need improving and work if you intend to show it at the highest level... looked at plenty of low mile cars and they have been in awful condition.... condition is the most important point.

If the 10k is genuine then fair play i`m defo out, Kip needs to bang his on then going off this result....

Looks like a dealer bidding blind as i can not imagine a genuine buyer bidding blind, who would bid 10k on a corrado unseen.

Has the bidder come to see the car......?

Check out the mot history, defo needs brakes and suspension looking at...looks a nice car but i can not see how the price has jumped up that much...??
