  1. Mine actually came down by £3 this year (big savings, I know) and oddly enough managed to come down a bit more by INCREASING my milage limit?!?! Not sure how they've worked that one but more miles for less money can't be bad lol. Greg
  2. Seeing what Corrado's are selling for lately, breaking was as seriously tempting option for me too! I think if one is too far gone for restoration or a complete MOT failure, then ok, but to break a perfectly good one? I didn't have the heart for it (nor to dispose of a shell and the junk no one wants) so have decided to sell mine in one piece;) Greg
  3. Yesterday got my rebuilt charger back and fitted it on no problems.. Only thing different is I deleted the boost return and blocked off the second inlet in the charger, thought I would give it a try and see if I take to it or not! There is just no power atall until past half throttle, where it picks up a bit  I've checked the whole system for leaks and its fine, what I cant get my head round is its blasting a load of boost out of the throttle body, that would normally be reused if I had the return on, is that where my lost power is? With a new charger it should be faster, but its so boggier compared to what it was, Im confused people!! Any help atall muchly appreciated! Greg
  4. Just sent my charger off today to Gwerks for a rebuild, and considering not putting the boost return back on, and blocking off the intake on the charger...(everything was very oily and dirty) I just wondered is any boost lost with not having it there? I mean it is essentially an opening in the throttle body, surely unfiltered air will either be drawn through it or just vent off boost at part throttle, it only fully closes at full. Any opinions much appreciated! cheers Greg
  5. Just fitted the rears to my G60 earlier on today, they sound bloody awful! Do they need bedding in atall? I drove it down a cobbly street to try to seat them a bit which did help a little, still dont sound right though :? Theyre those JOM cheapy ones but even so! Any thoughts chaps? Oh also Im struggling to get a bit for the fronts. where the top of the strut attaches to the top bearing mount theres like a threaded collar with 2 female castelations that holds it on... sorry I cant describe it better! I couldnt get it off the old shocks, even when I gripped it couldnt stop the piston spinning :( anyone know what its called, and I take it its VW dealers for them? cheers Greg
