ok i got it thx man!, car running much better, but im only boosting 3-4 psi, i must have a boost leak somewhere...

Henry- I just took a look at it and i think you 100% correct on the problem. I have a Question about it though -> Is the vacuum tube your talking about a thin black cloth covered tube? if it is, it is running from my throttle body to my ecu. i found that it is not connected to anything near the ecu , it must have got disconnected somehow but i cant figure out where it plugs into the ecu. do you have a picture of where it goes in or can you explain it?

ya i had a shitty car place perform a tuneup on my car, and it seemed to be downhill from there..

Well to start things off, my car idles very strangely. After i hit the gas, when i put it back into nuetral the idle drops to extremely low rpms to the point of almost cutting off the engine and even sometimes it does kill the engine. This also happens when i rev the car in nuetral. Another problem is when i am driving and i hit the gas hard to boost it gets no power, but if i slowly push on the gas it will boost up a little. Last problem ive been having is a small amount of smoke coming from the the engine near the wipers in the middle and it makes a HISSSING sound. if anyone can help me out id greatly appriciate it. THanks

too late for that.... car just broke down today. towing into volkswagon tommorrow to find out what the problem is. wont start anymore

by rocking i mean the engine is jerking up and back very badly its shaking the entire car as if it were someone trying to drive a manual transmission who didnt know how... thats the best i can describing it, im not sure what you mean by "kangarooing" but i have a feeling thats what it is... also if you have any pics of what i should check that woud be helpful.

For the last few days, my 1990 corrado g60 has been idling strangly jumping from 700-1000rpms. But my main concern is that when i hold the gas on a steady position (in any gear) the engine rocks the car really hard. This also happens right when i release the gas pedal or right when i press on it to. The engine rocking doesnt occur when i am accelorating hard or when i have it in nuetral. But ever once and a while at a stop light my rpms will bounce so badly that it will cut my car off in nuetral. Anyone got any suggestions please help me! thanks, alex

take off the negative battery terminal and leave it off for about 20 mins, this will reset the computer and correct the idle problem
