Loving those wheels! :luvlove: nice car bud. what engine?
-
uh oh, wasnt aware they were such a horrific tyre?! hopefully i wont end up in a ditch anytime soon, already done that to a 1.8 rado pushing it too hard on a set of yokos. Not too fused about them wearing quickly as i got them cheap from a mate in the trade, if they're rubbish ill get a new set! Surely they cant be that bad, after all they are Pirellis?! Anyhow, will keep eveyone posted on how i get one with the 6000's Sailed through the mot today!

MOT tomorrow:eek! -
You got an alarm? i no a few people that had to stop using their alarms because it kept killing the battery.
-
Despite liking various freshers, i dont actually have one. Just cleaned and treated the leather, so enjoying that at the moment
-
tesco used to do a gorgeous one called ocean fresh, not sure if you can still get it. makes sense to put one straight in the intake bit under the bonnet. NIce call with the vanilla pod!
-
would love to see how you get on. LIke you said, it would be invalueable to have the info as to the ins and outs details for a charger rebuild. Look forward to seeing the progress.

Ill check mine tomorow and let you know unless someone else does before!

My head unit hasnt got a switched wire, its all controlled from the head unit itself(i.e. The source button.) and its never caused me any issues apart from forgetting to turn it off. What rated fuse are you using?Sounds like you need a higher rated one.check what fuse your meant to have.
-
I had a similar problem on my old mk2. One of the previous owners have bodged all the wires that make the door handles work and theyd snapped. not saying its the same thing though! First thing id do is take the door card off and have a nose around for anything that looks out of place.

Run my G60 daily, just hit 160k in it. Im at my happiest when im in my C(even with the rust and dents!) no matter what the weather.
-
Just hit 159k in my G60, still pulls like a train, my mates think im daft for 'just going for a drive,' never had another car i enjoy driving even half as much
-
Just in case anyones looking at Bridgestone Turanza ER30's. Dont bother, i only managed to get 4500 miles on a set of fronts. Not a great feeling tyre either, never felt like they ever gave me a great feel of the road.

Its going well, amazingly, theyre the same lights that were on it, they may have faded?! i havnt changed them though. How did you tint them? i took it to jabba sport soon after i got it and had a new lambda sensor on it because they thought it wasnt right, i wasnt convinced that they were right, but they know a lot more about g60's than me, so let them and it still isnt fuelling right, only getting 200 miles to a tank just going to work and back. smells very rich. the manual and service book would be good, spose you havnt really got any use for them now?! how long did you keep the oak green for before breaking it? You enjoying the VR? -
will do that on tuesday when its in for the bushes, ill have to ask the guys at the garage to help me look at it though! regarding the tyres, ill get some in the next month or so, like vagman said, its all gotta help. Only done about 4500 miles on them and theyre about shagged, worn evenly though. Ill get some photos of the hole tomorrow, hopefully theyve not filled it in!if they have i guess itll be my fault for not thinking to do it before! :(

my track rods arnt bent, would imagine thats very hard to do,(i think!)nothing is thats visible from being in a pit with a 500w halogen shining up! so confused. has anyone tried to claim the repair back from local councils? or even had any joy?!
-
Thats what the garage said I should do.i just want to know exactly what damage I have done!
-
as im sure everyone is aware, the snow has absolutley knakard the roads, leaving potholes everywhere. i have been a victim of a monster pothole that knocked out my tracking. my car goes around left hand bends by its self!( both coasting and under acceleration) Also now handles like a bag of poo! Prior to hitting the grand canyon it was perfect. im due a set of front tyres soon, so want to get it sorted asasp, so i dont shag the tyres straight away Took my car down to the garage that i use regularly to have it checked out. I managed to knock the front offside wheels so it was 7mm toe in, but still havnt found/seen anything at all thats bent. They 4 wheels lazer aligned it to get it back to all square, took it for a drive and it was better, but not brilliant. Back up on the ramps and they find that one of the bottom ball joints has play in it, so they replace it(the other ones fine) then they 4 wheel lazer aligned it again, thinking that the ball joint was the problem. it isnt. Again, slightly better, but nowhere near straight. After poking and prodding around a bit more, they discover the top bushes need replacing, not completley fooked, but bad enough to fail an MOT aparently. thats where im at so far, its booked in to have the bushes done on tuesday. if that doesnt sort it, what next?! I dont have a lot of experience with the mechanical side of cars, my knowledge is limited. Which is why its al being done at the garage. im having to rely a lot on what the mechanics are saying so im looking for any ideas because the guys at the local garage are begining to scratch their heads!

Im always casting my eye over the forum to learn as much as possible about corrados because im not mechanically minded at all, so bare with me! but love my C to pieces. got my g60 earlier on in the summer after having a white 16v c and then an oak green mk2 16v. Its still as i got it pretty much, iv only played around with the ice in it, new tyres, tracking, etc just to get it right from the the get go. this is however proving to be a pain in the arse because as im learning that having a G60 is as awesome as it gets its also a huge money pit! The good news is that my living arangements will be changing soon, making it able for me to have more cash on the hip! so ill eventually be able to get my C to where i want it to be. this is how it looks at the moment or would be if it didnt tell me that the file im trying to attach is 'invalid,' any help? :brickwall:

my mates got a yellow g60 and is so excited that he got a set of these led lights from his wife for christmas! Hes planning on putting them not only along the bottom, but also up the outside of the headlight in the tiny gap between the light and the wing. Been ripping him since he first told me about them; the usual woolworths sale/fairy lights jokes! Ive tried to get a serious answer from him as to why he wants to put them on;his response is that he thinks they'll look absolutley awesome! Hes not fitted them yet but when he does ill make sure i get some pics up so you can all have a butchers.
