  7. yeahs his mane is lesbray i think. he is by redruth in cornwall. it was prob my fault as car needed a wash, hadnt been cleaned for a week so think she just wanted some attention( been a mad week with the kids, work and still geting my stock car ready for sunday) but i couldnt believe my luck when old boy in golf pulled in. and nice golf at that it was to
  8. and if a part is not listed on the site email him and he will more than likly have the part you need, he works from home
  9. right here is the story , the car started leaking water from the rad so i put some rad weld in witch lasted about a week. yesterday i was driving down my local bypass when my c (choperz) decided the its rad had had enough and chucked out all its water. so pulled in, (was on the way to docs appointment for my boy) the docs was about 2 miles away so thought would let car cool down and fill with water that i had in the boot and see if could make it without overheating again. but while waiting to cool down a guy in a mk2 golf gti pulled in to see what was up. after chatting for a while when car cooling down, the following happened. i managed to drive to docs, he followed me (wife took the boy in) and the guy let me jump into his car who then took me to a guy that lived nearbye who aprantly sold a few vw bits to see if he had a rad. luckly he did, they the guy dropped me back to the car whitch then i changed the rad over and carryed on my way! this guy was a saver as not only got me out the shit by giving me a lift but indrodued me into this guy who had the rad of. he bits are cheap!! i mean cheap, wasnt a vw rad but still seems like good quatly for 37 inc vat brand new!!! he has loads of parts at his house! and he can get any part for corrados, golfs, scirrocos, etc and all cheap (for example both rear wheel bearings for 7 quid!!! can all get all body panels in 3 days and he lives 7 mile away from me so am well cuffed. so a big thanks to the guy in the red golf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not sure if i aloud to say this but he has a webb site called ttp://www.veedubmachine.co.uk/ defo worth a look for your parts.
  10. i pesonilly do all my on work and have all tools and a hanger up the farm but thing is thoug for 25 an hour, yeah its clean but surely for that money you may as well just take car to a garage, or just do it on you driveway (or mates) its good if you have the money as it looks like a very nice place to work on the car, but most people without the tools dont have the no-how to do the job? or just try a few garages and im sure they would be happy to rent you a ramp?
  11. would have to be a mk2 golf, euro style, low wide arched with the good old 1.8 turbo lump
  12. on mine front window the wipers seem to miss the midde of the screen and doesnt clear the rest of the screen. the arms them self dont seem to have much springyness to them but have tryed bending the arm a litle bit but they are crap, been like it since car so tryed a new set wipers but still same but was only a cheap set jobby
  13. na not really, most costing bits are trailer and a decent welder. but the lil bits do slowly add up lol, ive manged to do it for about 600 quid all in, but only paid 50 quid for the car, and the doner car for engine was the wifes old car :-)
  14. well i have just done my first autograss race this weekend and i loved it, i even came 3rd in 2 of the heats . had few probs a first with sucking up loads of dust so had to pull out first race, also had overheating(faN PACKed up) and alt not charging, couple flat tyres and my exhaust coming off in the final. but was a wicked rush highly rekomend it to anyone, cant wait for next race in 2 weeks. anyone else do it here?
  15. i live in cornwall to and newquay is not fun in the summer, its like st ives to, they think they the ones who are ment to be on the road
  16. thanks will do it later, was having a look yesterday and could find out how lol
  17. as above but how do you take the front lower lights out as have a fog bulb to change in a 93 (late) rado, i cant seem to figure it out, sorry for the silly question
  18. i keep forgettin that these are all mint road cars lol i race and built stock cars so the work that is done to the cars is a lil dif to your minters, but was just saying what i have done for the min bud
  19. its a quick fix if you need the car and yours fail like mine did.
  20. does all you igniton lights still come on as normal then? i had this problem with mine, ignition would come on but half the time would not turn over, so have just put a seprate switch inline from bat -incar switch - starter. works for the min till i find a full set off locks as dont want differant keys. only prob is you can run the starter without igntion on (to much hassle to fit relay for a quick bodge) but it works fine maybe worth a try just to see if is your ignition switch gone. must be a design fault as my old mk2 golf done the same to
