Went to the squires cafe monthly meet with justdubs uk was very pleasant and not the usual burnouts some nice cars and people sorry I didn't get any photos but there are on there web page I just can't seem to open them.
-
Mine was OK when u was above 1000 rpm ticking over was shocking kept firing on 5 cylinders and u had to try keep the revs up, been out in it today it's firing on all 6 now but still has a slight rough idle on occasion and sometimes a bit hesitant, still not cured my hot start issue as was hoping it would but been like that for 2 years so bit I'm more than happy I can go out and about in it.

Update on missfire issue, went out and bought new coil pack with gritted teeth and hey presto no missfire revved and idled spot on. Changed the coolant temp sender after and seemed to be slightly lumpier with new sender in but once upto temp seemed spot, the old coil pack was split all over and could have been on there for its whole life so think I probly done well to get away with it as long as I have.

I got some more leads on order as I don't no if the leads are seated properly as that tool u get is useles.

Any corrado owners going to squires cafe justdubsuk meet tomorrow near Leeds.
-
I been out in it all day and ran fine while driving it's just the stopping and starting. It doesn't stall and starts up OK the rest doesn't concern me as much as the missfire when trying to set off.
-
I have had the isv off and cleaned it with carb cleaner and it made no difference and the temp only comes down when the fans kick in but it's been coming down lower than normal but while travelling it goes back up to normal and it's only done this since topping up with a small amount of antifreeze.
-
Hi all wonder if someone could maybe help me on this one. Ok well last week topped up the Corrado vr with antifreeze and noticed the temp sender dropping to 70 when fans kick in so just put it down too the antifreeze. Then car developed a popping from exhaust when easing off the pedal and then stoping at road ending and pulling away I also noticed a very slight missfire. So upto now I took the plugs out and cleaned them put them back in as weren't too bad but never solved the issue and then started getting worse to the point now it's very lumpy and then u set off it sounds like it's missing a cylinder for a few second then clears itself. I now put injector cleaner in and put new plugs in and to no avail it's still miss firing when u try to set off then clears. The temp gauge is still drops to 70 but goes up for a bit like it's intermittent so now I'm a little baffled as to what's going on. Unplugged the maf and it stalled straight away plugged back in and away it went, also pulled the plugs off the coil pack and they all sparking like a good one, so as of doing this post I'm stumped , thanks for any help PS no oil in water or vise versa so heagasket OK and runs spot on when traveling it' just seems to be at lower idle or setting off

In regards to flip out head unit I have one in mine I put in last week and think it's great, getting glove box out is a bit of a faff only issue I has was the parking brake cable but found a passcode for mine to get into another screen to turn it off but well worth the few quid I got it for lol -
Hi all well I finally bit the bullet today to strip the spoiler motor as it's been driving me insane with its mind of its own. Well took me about 2 hours to strip it down and back together and as of doing it it's now working a treat but for how long no one knows so thought I would share plus wasn't as bad a job as I thought.

I seen a white Corrado a black one from a distance and a metalic grey one i een a few times, took mine for a service yesterday and chap said you don't see many of these around, and went on to say some family member got a g60 in his garage only 8k miles from new not sure how true that is so people must be hiding them lol

It was called chromecp fast wax I sprayed it all over and even the the the plastic parts on the car that I could never get to go black came out nice black and shiney http://www.chromecp.com

Hi all OK not sure if anyone interested in this but went to a motorhome show and picked up this like spray wax. Cleaned the car a it looked like I been rallying it and have to say what a awesome shine,I tried to get some pictures on here to show but it's not having it. I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to advertise what company it is so if anyone wants to PM me I will give address but I'm very impressed with the outcome and never heard of it before.

Hi all I had my vr Corrado converted to manual over a year ago with no issues and extremely happy with the work that was done, now for some reason the rear spoiler is playing around,I had posted about the spoiler and someone suggested I post to say it's been converted from auto to manual. Is there a switch on the manual gerbox that tell the module as replaced the module and stripped the gears and greased and it has a mind of its own but then it suddenly works with no issues Thanks for any info
-
Cheers I did replace them 2 months ago with standard ones aswell as all the drop links arms ball joints but still rattling like a ball joints knocking
-
Update on the rear spoiler I stripped it down tonight cleaned and greased the motor put back in and hey presto still the same issue so that's the motor done the module replaced and still doing the same so no I am confused
-
Cheers i will have a look, was out at weekend and was playing up then next thing it's working tu can hear the module click as it stops then it goes up a little bit then clicks and stops like it's lost power and now changing the module its worse,I removed the back panel off the boot pulled the stop thing out on the motor and it's as free as a bird that's what confused me.

Hi I'm sure this has been asked already but I have never found a reply to my issue so here goes 1993 Corrado vr6 auto converted to a manual .been having issues with rear spoiler when you hit 45 to 50 it raise few centremetres then stops and few seconds after it raises abit more and so on till it's raised but doesn't always go all the way up. Then it's the same for going down like there's an intermittent fault, If you press the button it does the same thing so I changed the module that arrived today and it's worse than ever even on the button it barely moves but within returning for a spin it seemed to have gone the way down so I'm now out of ideas. Is there a switch on the gearbox or another relay hidden as speedo works fine and everything else is fine, Thanks for any info

What's the best front and back top mounts to buy is there a upgraded bush and top plate as I just have standard ones in.

Hi I'm Looking for some polished Audi TT comps or part ex my wolfrace olympic alloys with 2 brand new front tyres and 2 fairly new rears only issues is one slight scrape on edge not really noticable. Scrapes where tightening wheel nuts and chrome lip bolts for some reason started to turn funny but still look smart I just wanted a change and spent last year looking at new wheels and other than comps nothing seems to look decent on lc6v colour that I like Lincoln area
