  1. cheers david guess ill be getting rid of it then
  2. just removed my kr engine and ive noticed at the back near the fire wall theres a big block of metal. is this needed it looks heavy and pointless? and whats it actualy do?
  3. after having a look about i think the plan is to buy a agu and go for the qpeng kit then when i have some more cash go for a k04 and bigger injectors :)
  4. Cheers mate I'll hopefully get it off today and have a look. I've pmed the previous owner asking about it. But if it is genuine it should be up for sale soon :)
  5. Cheers mate the rest of the wiring in the car won't really matter as its a track car. Is qpeng the only standalone managment system as a grand for it seems very steep
  6. hey everyone im going to be starting a 20vt conversion into my 1.8 kr 1990 corrado and i have a few questions. what happens with the fusebox in my corrado do i replace it with the mk4 golf one or do i just adapt the engine wiring loom to fit my current fusebox. what gearbox is best to be used. if i use the gearbox that comes with the agu will i need to change my driveshafts? also would the g60 mounts fit my car as ive read these are better than the 16v ones cheers
  7. no the previous owner managed to buy the head and replaced the standard head with it aperantly so there would be no plaque
  8. i belive the previous owner has fitted my 1.8 kr with a gti engineering head. but as im going down the 20vt route this will be for sale. i just want to know will there be any specific marking on the head if it is made by gti engineering? i just want to double check before i sell it.
  9. i have done but as i said i only have 2 cables coming in that will fit onto there i belive i should have 4 or is it possible to jump the conections
  10. got a red 16v in stirling also seen a blue vr6 storm at my work
  11. i was wondering if anyone could post a pic of the back of there fusebox if possible. my fuel pump has stoped priming and this is only happend since i removed the dashboard. i only have 2 power cables coming in from the engine bay a brown and red, and know matter how i configure them they will turn the car onto ignition but theres no fuel pump prime. i belive it has something to do with ports 30 30b y z1and z2
  12. I need to wire a switch from my fuel pump to my dash for my track car. its the 16v kr basicly i was wondering if theres any diagrams on the net that shows me which is my 12v supply so i can run a switch of it.
  13. cheers the old ones look pretty tatty though, so what would i need to buy to replace them obviously the injectors which i belive are these http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_1.8_1990/p/Car-Parts/Engine-Parts/Fuel-and-Engine-Management/Fuel-Injectors/?431440160&1&3b57bd163677f8d4245d3a0e42e64d44367a7cb9 then ill also need to buy the plastic sleeves and new o rings, i take it these are availible from the stealers. anyone got the part numbers id be needing?
  14. pulled my inlet manifold of today as i have a 50mm one on its way for my 1990 1.8 16v. i noticed when i removed the lower half of the manifold that the orange plastic that the inectors sit on has cracked at 1 of them. so i thought i may aswell put new inectors in when i get my new manifold and was wondering if theres any uprated injectors that will offer better performance as its a track car. also how do i remove the plastic injector lining from the manifold?
  15. possibly able to get a set of abf cams of someone at my work, was just wondering if they will be a worthwhile upgrade for my 1.8 16v which has a gasflowed head. i know they have a higher lift, im not worried about low end torque as the car isnt a daily driver
