  1. Good to see another member on here thats been bitten by the Corrado & Mini bug ! Graeme
  2. Like this thread ! My Corrado lives outside & gets driven daily (when its working LOL) in any & all weathers i bought it as a daily runner & its get used for everythng from ferry family about, towing friends cars transporting skis & bikes and getting a good blast down a favourite b road ! I am lucky enough to have a garage but 'Corine the Corrado' LOL only gets in there when shes getting fixed or polished as my weekend-warrior a classic Mini lives in there now after i drove it for 6 years doing all the same things & more in worse weather that the Corrado now does ! Thats the main reason i bought the Corrado, to have something slightly more practical and almost as much fun otherwise the daily commute is just to boring ! LOL Graeme
  3. LOL thought it might be something to do with that. Its one seriously annoying noise but like to have my abs in these sort of conditions. Guess i'll just have to put up with it as long as its meant to be doing that. Graeme
  4. Hello folks just a quick question: with the recent snow weve had ive noticed that when i get wheelspin in my VR6 a strange noise like a relay firing comes from behind the dashboard. Is this normal ? Anyone else experianced this ? Im presuming its something related to the abs as its detecting the wheel slipping ? Any ideas ? LOL Graeme
  5. Car does use a bit of oil tbh bit smokey occasionaly, soon as the clouds stop leaking LOL im gona take plugs out give them a clean like you say or maybe replace them. What were you thinking might be the fault ?
  6. Bought the car in August so no sure exactly how old the leads are was thinking of getting new plugs and leads as a precaution but just wondering if there was anything else that could be causing this before i buy them as car still seems to drive fine i.e doesnt stall etc just runs rough ?

    Misfire

Hello folks ! Having a problem with my 1993 VR6 Corrado. Last week it started running really rough and felt like it was misfiring & not running on all cylinders at idle and when i was driving. Took it into local garage who said plugs were dirty, they cleaned them and all was fine again. Got in the car this morning and not that many miles later same thing again ! Managed to clear itself and then drove fine but seems like the problem isnt solved. Any suggestions about what could be causing it ? Thanks By the way should've said its a coilpack engine with 128k on the clock. Graeme
  8. Hi mate Intresting scuttle cover there where did you get that from and what are the advantages to it ?
  9. VRS had its good points, mpg, surprisingly quick in a striaght line, very comfy and great for long journeys but absolutely no soul to it, no sense of excitement or occasion, very rarely put a smile on my face never seemed to be exceptional good at any one thing more adequate at all things ! The standard brake set up was shockingly bad and the handling never inspired confidence esp not in the wet despite me trying various different brands of tyres ( which it went through A LOT OF!) LOTS of understeer along with not a lot of steering feel and a very twitchy unpredictable rear end if you tired to do combat the understeer. All round a very unsettled feeling car that didnt live up to its hot hatch promises. Also have to say not what id call the best built car ive ever known ! Feel much more confident and have much more fun in the now 128k 16 year old VR6 than i ever did the low mileage 3 year old VRS ! Have to admit thought that the 'sports grey' seats were actually really hard wearing and very easy to clean ! LOL Graeme
  10. Hello guys just spotted Glen had updated this thread ! Thought id say hi as im the new owner of what seems to be a well known VR6 ! Loving the car so far ! Makes me enjoy driving again after 18 months with a Fabia VRs ! Graeme
  11. Hello folks Need your expertise. Just bought my 1st Corrado and have found that both the front & rear passengerside footwells are full of water. Had a look around the forum and found the thread about the foliage seal, previous owner informed me that this has been replaced recently, ive got the bill for this with the cars paperwork and had a look myself and seems to be spot on as it should be ! However still got a LOT of water in just the passenger footwells and i discovered on the rear seat pan base under the firstaid kit ! Can anybody shed some light on where this might be coming from ? Am i missing something obvious ? Thanks for your help ! Graeme
