Yeah yeah, I see. I will get a quote in March when I get my 2yrs no claims and give them a ring, if it's not bad I will insure before I am 21 ;D srsly can't wait to get on the road in a rado!
-
Yeah i've been looking at Brentacre! But I don't like phoning around unless I am actually going to get insurance, I did an email quote with Adrian Flux and it came back (all mods declared) at £1125, which isn't bad imo! For when I hit 21 with 2 years no claims and all that~
-
I'd like to think that hopefully that is all dirt Anything that is left may polish out ;D
-
Yeah, I guess it's just what happens Just try and get at least some help in repairs from them :) Also (Unrelated), I see from your profile that you are 20? How/who are you insured with? ;D This is the reason I am not on the road until I am 21 3 aha I'm with Adrian flux and pay about £1300 full comp  and thats with 3 years driving, and 1 years ncb But thats not bad when you consider I was paying £1041 on a 1.4 mk3 thrid part F+T ahah shit that's good! Fuxers! I've been driving 2 years with 2 years ncb and they quoted me £5500 fully comp! Perhaps I will try them when I am 21 then ;D Cheers. How much do you reckon being lowered and having tinted windows will cost with them then? Sorry it's so off topic but, it's interesting and I had to know ;D Thanks. And yer, I was paying £1800 my first year driving a 1.4 306! It's daylight robbery, i tell you!

That's bad luck having it 3 times D: Granted they do a good job (Not in every case though, I still crashed and incurred a cost of £500 to replace the front end and airbags of my golf ;D) But you pay the tax, you pay for them to do this, so you shouldn't have them blasting the fook out of your car, and they should sort it! Perhaps I am just naive ;D But that's the way I logically see it! Also not quite on topic; but they're promoting all these uber-eco cars that are tax exempt, then who will pay for the roads?! Surely the money has to come out of our pockets somewhere, or they just raise the tax for the rest of us...

It must be lifesize as well.

Friends VXR-R Stolen 15/1/10 Cornwall!
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in General Car Chat
Cheers! Apparently it has been spotted around a couple times driving like a complete twat! But whether it actually has or not, nobody knows. And on top of it all, just in case he wasn't stressed enough as it is, insurance are refusing to pay out or help in any way! Love how you can pay through the roof for a service they're so reluctant to give! -
Hey guys, just posting to ask if any of you could keep an eye out for my friends car that was stolen last Friday! It's an Astra VXR-R with registration SJ09 GHK, stolen from outside his house in a seeminly nice quiet village during the night! He's also concerned because it went into Vauxhall last week for some work to be done under warranty and now it's stolen! It could just be coincidence but does seem suspicious, they're the only ones who have had access to the keys other than him, definitely a professional job! But yeah, here are some photos from his photobucket account http://s215.photobucket.com/home/a1whitey And from Thorney Motorsport (Same model) http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/tuning/Astra_VXR-R.shtml if it is any use. Hopefully the thieving scum will be tracked down and he can get his car back! Though whether he'd want it again after being defiled like that, who knows, it's such a shame. Anyway, many thanks and all that! Cheers!

Yeah they did, for a minimum of 15 sets else it isn't worth it for them

H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
Hmm that could be a very good plan. Do venom motorsport offer softer springs? Because they are like... cheaper than everywhere else And stainless vs non stainless? It's £80 more but in the long run, worth it? -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
Hm yeah, I nearly bought some cheap lowered springs on ebay for 99p But I was working and forgot to bid, also I need new shocks anyway so a full replacement is in order. Now I am leaning more towards KW from everyones reviews. Oh dear I am rather undecisive today ;D -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
Hah well I did sorta convince myself the shocks and springs is what I want, but I still don't actually know what I want! As I said, I want to know I am getting the best of what I want for the money, I am just dubious about the coilovers in case the ride quality is (to me) horrendous and dubious about the shocks and springs in case the handling is a bit shit. So really I was looking for answers to convince me one way or the other. I am getting the impression that the KW V1s are superior performance wise but shocks & springs win with regard to comfort... Though you're right I do want the shocks and springs ....But I also want the KWs D: -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
How much lower do they make it sit? That is the look I wanted! Nicely fitting into the arches without looking too low/high. my friend is all "omg faggot my golf is at 120mm lowered you have to drop it at least 80 else you wont really notice it" Yes... And on roads around here your car scrapes literally all the time. Do not want, thanks. -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
Yeah seems to be consistent with what I am hearing Though again I don't want to drop it too far else it will be completely impractical D: Still, at least both are better than OEM setup :D -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
hmm oh lord I dunno what to do! Aha I am used to standard mk4 golf suspension so it's like floating about on a loaf of bread. I don't want anything too stiff because the roads to and from my workplace are pretty awful. If I go too fast even my golf scrapes in some places... It's only a 2.0 16v and I am afraid of pushing cars TOO far yet so I think the shocks/springs would suit me better, cause I do very much enjoy ride comfort But I don't want to feel like I am not getting the best for my money though! -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
Yeah I know what you mean! But down in Cornwall, there aren't a lot of people with Corrados that are nearby or who have these setups at least who would let me go for a spin to see what they're like But still, at least that's one vote for V1s. Though you say you have Pi springs, would H&R ones be much different you reckon? -
H&R Springs/Koni Shocks Vs. KW Variant 1?
Dr. Robotnik replied to Dr. Robotnik's topic in Drivetrain
Oh really? But why is that? I mean, I'd like to know the pros and cons of both. I hear the H&R/Koni gives a more comfortable ride, which I am into, and I don't have to do too much adjusting ;D But then again if the V1s provide better handling/comfort for similar money... hmmmm Also I can buy the shocks and springs separate over time when I have the money instead of dishing out £580 or so in one big lump -
First off I am very sorry if this has been asked before (Which it probably has, but I couldn't find it!) And I've trawled briefly through the suspension thread and found out that they are both very good but nothing to say which is better? They both come to about £500ish and I don't want to lower my car a lot due to the condition of the roads around here :D But yeah, basically, which would you consider best? And why? Many thanks! Ben.

Keep us posted if you do Christmas is taking its toll and I don't think I'll be getting the Corrado a present this year! I'd like to know what options are out there, if the Passat one fits then that could really save a lot of trouble

[/quote:3u4b522b] Hah, this is the best I could describe the smell of 17 years of filth collecting and getting soggy under my carpets! (Which smelled just as bad)
