Hi all. This will of been asked before but I couldn't find the answer in the search. Does anyone know the part number or the correct name for the vacuum check valve with the 2 3.5mm nipples on it? Both nipples have broken off of mine and I need to replace it but cannot for the life of me find one or its correct name. Cheers Phil

Well todays efforts were to say the least a little dis-heartening. Fitted a new alternator as mine bit the dust at the weekend all sorted now tho thanks to lilfuzzer for supplying a replacement (saw his show C in the flesh and boy that thing is a work of art!) Finally got round to giving the faper her first good wash and polish and taking a look at what bodywork shes going to need and I hate to say it but shes good from afar but far from good. Shes obviously had a tidy up and a respray prior to my ownership and the only thing I can think is that the previous owner didnt care too much about doing things correctly. The rear de-badge is all cracked as its just been filled with catty no plate or welding of any kind. The rear arches are also both catty built messes that have cracked in various places. Shes covered head to toe in scratches and to make things worse the car is covered in the dreaded orange peel!!! Its clearly had massive paint reactions last time it was sprayed and whoevers done it has just totaly ignored them and carried on painting and flat n polishing around them. Got a few snaps here but if I'm being honest they make her look better than she really is. Its off putting but I wont give up shes just going to need alot more help than I had anticipated.

Cheers bud I'm going to do mine on the new c eventually. Just need to get a decent ornwge flash. Think i may have layered mine with too much red aswell last time which wont of helped

They look awesome like but did you boys have any problems with the local law? Mine took massive offence to them because i couldnt get my repeaters to flash orange through the red tint. Even bought supeebright orange leds and they still flashed an off pink colour. Local police hated them and when they faded i just let them to save hastle

Alright guys and girls. It would appear that I'm gettin 0v charge from my alternator. Is it likely that the full alternator is dead or am I best off changing the regualtor first? Cheers Phil

Yeh I did look at the us spec bumper ones but TBH I'm trying to shave and clean as much as I can rather than just move them. I think I'm going to attempt to flush fit 3mm superbright LED's into the mirrors so all you'll see is a couple of 3mm holes in each mirror. barely noticeable until the repeaters are actually flashing. not sure how the finished product will look yet but if my understanding is correct as long as the repeaters can be seen from both ends of the car its an MOT pass?

Ha Ha Commissioning mate even worse!

Well after some time learing how to and messing with various photoshop effects I think I'm happy with the style of mods I'm looking to make on the car. Smoothed front bumper. Side repeater delete (I'm hopeing to make some oem+ looking ones to go into the headlights keeping them as subtle as possible) Badgeless grill and eyebrow spoiler. BBS RS split rims (budget allowing) Anyones input on the best way to make the mods would be appreciated. I understand the front bumper will need to be plastic welded as I don't fancy using filler on such a large area for it to crack later on. Has anyone had experience deleting repeaters ? Thanks Phil
-
Do you have photos of them bud to to see what they'll look like once done and with them working preferably? wanting to shave my side repeaters when I get the car blown over
-
Yeh when I fitted mine to my last corrado I had to buy resistors as they would flash so quickly your couldn't see them less have no resistance compared to a standard bulb so even if they work they'll flash as tho you have a bulb out

cheers man will take a look when I get home in 2 weeks! try n sort out the permanent aswell
-
delfinis38 do you know where on the ignition the radio connects? I know its a brown cable with a red marking but would rather not have to pull my whole dash apart to trace it ha ha
-
cheers @g0ldf1ng3r yeh that's the diagram I used to resolder n heat shrink the audio and power side plugs back on that's complete but I need to know where the source end of the power cables is so that I can find out why there is no power. im assuming both will run from the fuse board both permanent and switched but I have no idea which terminals to look for.
-
Does anybody have a complete wiring diagram for the corrado radio? I've sorted out the audio side and I've re-attached the iso plugs as they had been removed but I have no live or switch live from the power cables. I've checked the fuse board and I have no blown fuses so I'm wondering where the switch and permanent cables come from so I can check the other ends. thanks phil

sorry to bump an ancient post but im considering this myself anyone have any ideas on what mirrors woukd fit or how repeaters can be retrofitted into the corrrado originals??
-
Had a quick flick through your thread awesome car love the colour cant wait to see you progress the project further!
-
yeh I figured as much thanks dox think I'm going to try random center caps from other peoples wheels untill I can find a more common replacement for them. they clip in with a hunbcentric spring so the fixing should be pretty common its just finding the right style and size covers
-
I'll take a look when I get home and let you know. its not the full rack that's been changed just the pump feels exactly the same as a corrado original pump tho. I've edited the original post for clarity sorry about the confusion.
