    Corrado G60 Storm?

it looks a bit dodgy so I'm staying clear! I hadn't heard of one if it was a rare C i'd be tempted but thanks for the advice. I'm also looking at an H-plate 1.8 16V that looks good on the picture but he wants 1500 for it, is that a bit cheap or average, it's done 150,000 but thats not THAT high or is it? Any clues on what I should look out for? ask, avoid etc? Cheers

    Corrado G60 Storm?

Hi, I'm new to this but i've just seen a J-rg G60 storm on the autotrader website - for £1,995 - any thoughts on this? the link should be !Autotrader link here Hope that works if not just do a search for it. All the Best Rob P.S. - Ive still got my MK3 Diesel golf for sale - it's mint and I want enough for it to buy a corrado Mod Edit: Link shortened. VR6
  3. I'd agree with the majority and say Alpine is by far the best quality before you get into silly money. my head unit and six disk cost me about £450 and its still wicked a year on, you can get a credit card remote which is very user-friendly and a lot easier than other systems. also their speakers are good, I have there type R 5.5 mids and oil filled tweeters and they sing, they actually pick up stuff you wouldn't hear before. in an ICE shop offer cash as the mark up is very high ( a mate of mine works in one) staff get a good discount so befriend the fitter and get him to buy it for you and fit it on a sunday and save a few quid.
  4. you just angle the screwdriver to the sides facing away from the unit and lift it up, i think it's on a clip. and either the clip or the other bit moves and the unit should spring free. the cage should remain. if you need further help i'll go and have a look at mine.
  5. I have an alpine system in my golf. take the surround out and the face panel off. then there are clips which you should have access to and just push them both out with a screwdriver (small) should do the job, other then that, take it to a ICE dealer and for the prie of a pint....
  6. I've got two amps, 6x9's and and 12" sub in the boot of the golf and i've found the best thing to use is the plastic blocks they use to hold old kitchen cupboards together! simply screw them in to the floor (i have an MDF false floor) and have one in each corner of the sub box nice and tight, hold it in place no worries. also cheap! Good Luck!
  7. Thanks, looks like i';m just going to have to grin and bear in then. Any thought on the swap? good deal?
  8. Cheers. They stay on the license but you dont have to declare them to insurance companies after 4/5 years. so if anybody knows a company who only ask for 4 years???
