I have the same sort of problem with both the Rado and my new addition a MK1 Golf GTI cabrio. With the rado if I drive it hard the oil light comes on and beeps at me - either its the sensor, pump or just dirt in the pump? With the Golf i use it very rarely - driving it today about 5 min down the road and the oil light comes on and starts beeping at me, checked the oil levels and it is fine (serviced last week), Could this be the same problem as the Rado?

New addition to my Bargain garage - paid £500 for this one too!! Was stored in a barn for a year then I got it! What you think?

Havent taken them off yet will do at weekend and have a look. I know it is not a Corrado but it is a bargain car was stored in a garage for over a year and got it for dirt cheap- I will post more pics soon!!

Hello peeps - just bought a 86' Golf GTI Convertible. It has Karmann badges on the side and these wheels:- does anyone know if they are VW wheels?? Also do you know if this would be a special edition if it has Karmann badges or were they all made in their factory?

Ok, Need a bit of help please my G60 is running really but want to gain a few horse's without too much expense (I hear you all laughing!!) Currently I have stage 4 Jabba rebuild on my charger and a full Milltek exhuast, should I go for an induction kit? if so which one value for money etc.. or - what??? Am I wasting my time without a chip?

I'd be interested in the full system!! Need to know timescales though as winter has definatley taken its toll!!

They do indeed a friend of mine got one recently and they are superb!! Not cheap for a decent one though - around £300 +

Evening - I have a very embarrasing problem. BOTH my door handles have broken, the only way to get in the car is through the boot!!! You can imagine the looks Im getting!! Does anyone know the part numbers for the mechanism i need - I had a look inside and its sheared off inside im guessing a common problem???!?!?!?!?!

Jabba sport rebuilt the charger in october so it should be all swee (fingers crossed!). The engine has been rebuilt in the last 10k so that should be fine (again fingers crossed), and it doesnt burn oil at all. Will try the deflector plate.

I had this exact problem about a week ago - didnt happen when I went slowly round corners, the fella who works on my car said it was something on the drive shaft had slipped down (doughnut shaped disk round the drive shaft) - he has since removed it and the knocking has stopped but steering feels dodgy now so its going back again! Sorry not at all mechanically minded so cant give specifics but thought it may point you in right direction!!

Wondered if anyone could help - My g60 is drinking oil and I've been told that my car may be missing the deflector plate. The mechanic that works on the car thinks that the deflector plate was only on cars with a tin rocker cover, whereas mine is aluminium?? cheers!!

Just bought the replacement side bolster section for the drivers seat. Wondered if anyone has any diagrams or tips on how to replace this i.e how to get covers off, does the seat need to come out? etc..... Cheers!

Looking for some advice please!! Am interested in a Chip for my g60- it already has a stage 4 charger and am curious what difference a chip will make: - Will the car be more likley to break down? - Will the fuel consumption be affected? - As I am running a stage 4 charger do I need a chip? - Is it worth buying a second hand chip or should I go and get it fitted by Jabba or someone similar? Mines got a stage 4, but doesnt have the chip and pully and I get about 25 average and in traffic about 21 so not far off. I have asked my local garage and they say its ok?!?!?!?! Expensive - Fun tho!!

Thanks lads!! No leather, maybe one day (looking at the mo if anyone knows of something!). Had the engine rebuilt for £850 by a friend, supercharger rebuilt by Jabba so owes me about £2k at the mo. New paint next just to remove those stone chips we all have!!

Standard apart from stage 4 charger, going to clean her up soon - cash flow providing, had engine rebuild 2k ago still got some niggles like oil leak, and minor engine rattles!! loving it though!! Only paid £500 as the fella I bought it off got a quote for 2K + for new engine from stealer!

Thanks Jims'16V I will mention this when I take it in on Wednesday. It's a G60 and had the engine rebuilt about 2K ago its got 125K on the clock so expecting to pay out for little things like this just want to get the engine sorted then can start on exterior!! :D

Recently bought my G60 - well chuffed, still cant wipe the silly grin off my face as I power past the boy racers in their escorts. Only trouble is in the mornings when I start her up she sounds like an old escort, is this normal until she warms up or is there something that needs doing ??(I'm not mechanicaly minded! and would like to point the garge in the right direct without getting ripped off! :oops: )
