  3. Jim when its finished we can meet up and you can take a close look... Gareth think we moved them slightly but hard to tell.. paints going on now so they are where they are! mind i am running 9.5" on the back and was only having issues with the lip. Now the lip is pressed back the edge that your talking about could be my next problem. I have been playing with the idea of moving to 17's and had my eye on some very nice BBS RC's 17x8 but will see what happens!
  4. Car being masked up first thing this morning!! Wetting the panels shows off how clean Alan's got it looking! B) Rolled arches look good and will be a big help! :)

  6. Paint shop has had a couple of delays but the car gets first base coat tomorrow! took a few pics with my phone but only one turned out to be in focus! Hate seeing my wheels all covered in dust :(

  10. Well the good news is that i sourced the part that is broken from VW Heritage! :D regarding the guard i cleaned the one i have last night and it turns out not to be in too bad a condition.. I posted on the other breaking threads this morning that i was sorted but missed yours! thanks for looking and so sorry if i put you to any trouble! if you have 17A ollievr6 is looking for one!! All the parts in that group in the diagram are obsolete from VW

  14. Well this turned out to be a great post! They can get the part from their classic group maybe they have an account with the guys in germany?? price £6.79 i think they said plus standard UK postage should be with me by the end of next week!! thx for all the help!! :D

  18. i was with our friends at listers Jim and all the parts in the diagram are obsolete! :-( They even got details of the last dealer to have some parts but that turned out fruitless too.... But good call will let you know if Stealers come up with it!

  22. i'm looking for the black plastic piece inside the petrol flap. this is the part the piece on the flap goes into to allow the flap to lock. there is also a like guard behind the catch that i would like. the part numbers are 535862181A which is the bit i broke then 535862292A for the guard. see pictures below: item 3 and 18A
