Hello people, :D I have just been quoted £154 for a starter motor, front wheel bearing kit and Front brake Discs for my VR is this cheap? does everything to do the wheel bearing come in the kit or will i need other bits?? :? i know that you need a press as well which i'll let the garage sort out. John Fox VW in Nottingham tracked me one down down south as well, should be here tomorrow morning. on next day delivery for £15 pump is costing me £111 inc VAT cant wait to sort it and get her back on the road!! :D :D :D

yeah definitely, they could have put a bit more thought into the grill, lets it down big time! i do think the rear looks fantastic though! the more i look at it the more i like it!!

looks superb from the side and back but the bonnet shape and the headlights do it no favours.

Just spoken to the garage and they said £135 inc labour to fit my fuel pump. GSF didnt have one got it from euro car parts for £110 inc. VAT but not coming till tomorrow.

Thats exactly what it did mate!! fine one minute dead the next!!! found two on GSF site Fuel pump in tank £18.95 and Fuel injection Pump - £89.00 Which would i need for a 95M VR? Thanks :)

Its in the garage at the mo being looked at so i'll let ya know if they sort it. i dont want them to rip me off with a new pump. garages love adding cash for there selves on to the price of the part around my way!!! is this common? does every garage do this? I'll let ya know what happens.

yeah,it was rocking over and there was a spark so he reverse fed the pump to see if he could clear it but that didnt work he then checked if there was any fuel coming out the engine end (sorry i only have a basic mechanical knowledge) he also checked if there was power going to it with a multimeter and there was.

hi guys, What a sh*t night i had last night :( , driving along after shopping to find my engine just died, felt like i was out of fuel but i knew i wasnt!! after an hour the AA turn up to tell me its my fuel pump they try to tow me but cos its so low they couldnt, so after another two hours :x a flatbed turned up to take me to a garage where it sat all night on an industrial estate!! what a feckin' nightmare!!! :x anyway whinge over, how much i should be paying for a fuel pump? :D

Hi guys, Thinking of selling my vr6 :cry: :( cos i want the money for a deposit on a house. I wanted to know what you lot thought would be a decent car to get after for between £1-2k, still want a bit of power but summat cheaper to run for a year or two. I was thinking of a Golf (GTI maybe?) or can these be just as expensive as C's if they go wrong or should i get a 1.4/1.6? what about Polo's, what are they like? I really really really don't want to sell my VR but sh*t does happen and i need to buy a house alot more at the moment :( what do ya think? cheers :D :D

No, i have £500 worth of stereo cover but i thought as im fully comp there would be cover for other things as well seeing as these days people have screens and all manner of electronic equipment in there cars. :? i dunno what to but, one things for sure it wont be left in my car till i've sorted it!!! :x and i wont be renewing my policy with them next year!! :evil:
