Hello. Thank you for the advice I have replaced both the high pressure and low pressure sensors and all seems to be working well for now.
-
Thank you I will give it a try.

The beeping happened again today so I Pulled over and took the connectors off the sensors one by one but it was still beeping when they were all dissconnected.. Could this mean that the dash is to blame??

Hello, I have recently got my G60 back on the road after a stage 4 rebuild from Jabba sport. It was all good until the oil light and buzzer started randomly flashing and beeping at me.. I am pretty sure it is a faulty oil pressure sensor that is to blame as it only happens occasionally but as far as I can see there are two on top of the oil filter housing and one at the charger oil feed end of the head. So my question is which one do I change????? cheers. …Rob

Hello. Just wanted to say thanks to all that helped with the running problem. The oil pump was the culprit in the end! I have since had a stage 4 recon done on the charger by Jabba sport and it's now a pleasure to drive again. The only problem I have is that now the oil light and buzzer randomly flash and beep at me. I am pretty sure this due to a faulty pressure sensor but on close inspection there seems to be two on the oil filter housing and one at the charger oil feed end of the head. Please could somebody tell me which one I should change. Thankyou

Turned out it was exactly that. Pretty handy for future reference. Sweet thanx everyone

How much more power was there after a stage 4?

I have been reading on this forum and found that there is a bar in behind the temp gauge that becomes unlinked so I am going to try that and see what happens thanx for your help. Rob

Hello people. I am In need of a supercharger rebuild for my g60 charger and am looking at stage 4 but what I really need to know is who is the best for this out of g-werks and Jabba sport. Any help is much appreciated. Thanx rob

Yea I have tried the original one and still no luck this all started when I replaced the black sensor with a non gen one, this made the overheating warning light flash and the gauge go up to full. I then realized it was no use for my corrado and shelled out £26.00 For a gen one from vw which hasn't solved the problem as the gauge now does nothing. Do u think I have burnt out something?

Hello. I have replaced the blue and black temp sensors on my G60 as a matter of course because I know they are renouned for bad running problems after doin this the temperature gauge doesn't work at all. Any ideas?? cheers Rob.

Thanx for your input I was considering getting an rsr anyway where would you buy a new oil pump from?

Hello, I had a few rough running probs and this site helped me. have a look and see what you think, It mentions the hall sender being a culprit for these symptoms . http://www.matey-matey.com/g60-guide.shtml

I have been trailing the internet for answers to changing the oil pump and it doesn't seem to hard. I also put some soapy water on my boost pipes and on the charger baffle and I saw bubbles coming from the baffle.when I took the baffle apart I found that the O-ring which seals the two together has got a few snags in it. Does anyone know where to get this seal from?? The charger has recently only been producing about half the power it used to could this account for the boost loss or would it be something else. Cheers rob.

Ok how hard is it to change the oil pump on a corrado? The parts I have already replaced to try and solve these problems are both black and blue coolant sensors, distributor cap, rotor arm, ht leads, plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump relay and ecu relay, and I will be replacing the knock sensor today as there is an inch missing from the shielding on the cable.

Hello. Following my previous post about my g60 running rich and sluggish I am encountering more problems, The first is that when Started from cold the engine will run for about 5 seconds then will suddenly die (it's like a switch has been turned off) when I turn it over again on the starter it sounds as if there is no compression at all. The second fault I have recently noticed is that the charger seems to be putting out less than half the power it was and sometimes it is kicking black smoke out the exhaust and also stumbles at around 4grand when the throttle is pushed quickly. I know this is slot to ask but if anyone can help me it will be very much appreciated. Cheers Rob.

Thanx for everyones input with the running sluggish and rich problem,I have replaced the blue coolant sensor and the lambda sensor and all is well for now, thanx again.. Rob

How do u reset the ecu? And where is the ecu relay?

I have recently replaced the ht leads, coil, dizzy cap,and spark plugs I have also checked all the pipes to the throttle body and the surrounding area and repaired the ones that have become worn but the problem still persists. I am looking forward to changing the lambda sensor tommorow to see if that makes a difference. I reckon that might be the problem as It is running so rich, still gotta get it to work yet haha. If anyone has any other ideas then they would be much appreciated. Cheers rob

I have replaced the coolant sensor today but it is still running really lumpy and when I rev it and the chargers working there is loads off black smoke from the exhaust (unburnt fuel) I have a spare lambda sensor so I will replace that tommorow and also check the boost pipes with soapy water.any other possibilities??
