Put my leather front seats on ebay, due to finish on monday. Could do with them gone as taking up space in the garage http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170699453334?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649 Also on here in classified section http://the-corrado.net/classifieds.php?do=viewitem&itemid=803

Do you still have the speedo binacle screw covers, passenger side??

Whilst using the c the other day I noticed on the way home that the spoiler hadn't raised (worked on the way there half an hour before). Used the switch itself but nothing, very disappointing. For some reason I had a peak under the black electrical tape that currently covers my abs light and the light had gone out. "yeah!" I thought, the abs light has finally gone out, saves me the hassle of taking it somewhere to be put on vag com, it's on my ever growing to do list!. I'm praying for an easy fix so when I get home I check the fuses. Fuse 16 had blown, easy I thought. New fuse in, ignition on, abs light comes on, 1 second later pop another fuse blows, abs light off again  Any ideas? Used the search button but most of the results are for rear spoilers popping fuse 16. Am guessing its abs related, the abs light itself did come on with the ignition then go off a few seconds later as it should after it had done its checks (how it passed its mot) but it would then come back on again once exceeding 15mph showing a fault somewhere on the system. Been like that for months so don't know what’s suddenly made it throw a wobbly. Completely unrelated but I now have a coolant leak somewhere on the front of the engine block itself, shined a touch down there but can't see much just a few drops of moisture so going to have to have a look from the underneath at some point. Making a mess over my newly painted garage floor!!!

Read about this on another forum, using economy baby wipes to clean all trim under the bonnet. Had a quick go earlier and they did seem to shift the grease and muck quiet easy on metal and plastic, just have to wipe the residual off when finished. Cheap and easy way of cleaning under the bonnet :thumbleft:

:worthless: Definitely picked the best colour :thumbleft:

Sorted a few more of the little niggles out on her. Finally got round to fitting the window rollers that I bought through the forum via a group buy - must have been months ago if not last year! They were a quite easy job to do really, don't no why I put it off for so long. And boy do they make a difference, doors shut so nicely now, good job done. Had the front bumper off to fit that front grille properly, just no access to it when its on the car. Managed to snap one of the bumper bolts along the way so the job probably took 3 times as long as it should have :onfire:. On the plus side me outside temperature gauge is working now its all clipped in properly. Brother in law mended the central locking, it would very rarely work if at all. After a couple of hours of searching it was the solider in the drivers door were the wire from the door handle meets the wire from the pump and are joined together to the wiring harness. The solider had just degraded with age and broke at both ends so the power rarely got through. Tis very nice having central again, stops the misses getting wet waiting for me to get in and unlock her door. Not that it goes out often in the rain or at all, done a massive 1100 miles in 17 months. And it didn't cost anything to fix!!!! Also been busy painting and tidying the garage out, getting it ready for winter! Nice and bright in there now, ideal for polishing the corrado up - which I have. Only problem now is it looks immaculate I don't wana get it dirty!

Yeah sure drop me a pm when you return and I'll post it on to you. I'll dig it out tomorrow and have a watch make sure its ok, will have to dig out the video recorder too!
-
I'd be willing to loan it to somebody who has the facility to do it as I haven't got a clue about how to go about it

Oh yeah :brickwall:, I was up late for me. Thats my excuse plus even though I've had the car a year and a half it spends most its life in the garage so I don't see the reg number that often.

These are still available from vw. Not that expensive either around £45 and are of good quality. Link below to a thread regarding floor mats and prices paid :smug: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?54230-Corrado-floor-mats

After watching this video in another thread http://youtu.be/d6bD1aoXHkw it got me thinking (dangerous I no) does anyone know anything about vw's press corrado's? How many they registered each year and what there duties were including registration numbers? Long shot I no, just the car in the video is a blackberry vr6 L703ONH (was also used in a road test in top gear magazine), I too have a blackberry vr6 L715ONH, there almost related. According to my service history book a delivery inspection was carried out on 02-12-93 by V.A.G (United Kingdom) Limited, Yeomans Drive, Milton Keynes, MK14 5AN (vw hq). The car was officially registered with the dvla on the 01-01-94 and its first service was carried out on the 31-05-94 by listers vw in coventry having done 9537 miles in less than 6 months. Just wondered whether my car had an exciting past as a press car or vw just registered a few and let people thrash em around for a few months. Just curious really :bonk:

I have this on VHS too. Could never understand why its never been put on youtube.

I saw one!!! pointed it out to the mrs but she wasn't as impressed as me. In stratford upon avon about 12ish red vr6, saw it out the back window of the christmas shop we were in right near william shakespeare old house

i think people who save corrado's from imminent death should be given some kind of medal, or at the very least a certificate or gold star. Big thumbs up from a fellow blackberry massive owner :thumbleft:

Its been a busy and expensive few months gathering parts for the corrado and then booking my mechanic brother in law to fit it all for me (I watched and kept moral up) But it was worth it as it fly through its mot with no advisory’s:dance: The parts list included:- radiator top hose connector (black plastic thing the hose go's into that then mounts onto the radiator) rear brake hoses both sides rear disc's and pads a couple of brake pipes splash shields - drivers side and both rear ones wheel bearing kit drivers side wheel hub drivers side drivers side ball joint callipers - drivers side and rear drivers side ball joint drivers side wiper blades all round drivers headlight lens bulb for heater dials black corrado mats And once it passed its mot took it to get the tracking done only for it to need a new track rod end and rack end. But now its all sorted its great, had a few drives in it, loving the tilt and sliding sunroof. Never get bored of watching the spoiler going up and down either. Just the central locking to sort next, it occasional works, mostly when locking the car especially when its time to fill up!! Then the old wax oil wants replacing for lovely fresh wax oil and it'll be just about there:cheers:

Any New Shape Beetle Owners - Dash lights question
little andrew replied to quicky1980's topic in General Car Chat
My mother in law has a new shape beetle 2.0L W reg I think, her engine light fault is always on. There's nothing wrong with the car as its been checked over and put on vag com and theres no fault codes coming up. Maybe someone must have had the same problem with that and put there cowboy hat on and sorted out themselves. -
Got my matts!! Got mine through my brother in law as he's in the trade and gets a bit of discount (proving very handy with my on going restoration of the corrado!) RRP £45.83 with discount £36.89! (from tps) Happy bunny
