  5. No not coming over to the dark side at the mo, don't post much on here but always have a little nosey to see what's going and I would never rule out not owning another Corrado. Can't believe that it has been 4 years since I had my Corrado - http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=50817 but also good to see that it is still with the guy that I sold it to.
  6. Andy- Well fancy seeing you over here, Corrado looks good in white but as you know I'm a bit of a sucker for white 3drs.
  7. So that's what it looks like......Good to see you again, the pic of the 3 Corrado's in a line with OZ's at the front looks superb. Suppose I'd better start saving!!! Oh and we won Best Club Stand...must be my roof...
  8. NOW SOLD ADMIN PLEASE DELETE POST For sale is my late father's Audi, who passed away Jan last year. As a family we have been undecided what to do with the car as it was the last car that my Dad bought and as such has a little bit of sentimental value for my Mum. It is currently registered in my older sister's name as she used it for a few months whilst waiting for her new company car. This is a good reliable car never fails to start and drives extremly well. Being an estate with the bullet proof 110 bhp Tdi and having the Quattro four wheel drive these are hard to find. Details:- 1998 Audi A4 Avant Quattro 1.9 Tdi - First Registered 04/01/1998 12 MTHS MOT - New MOT done on the 27/08/13 Current Mileage - 206000 (When MOT it had 205594) Tax until 30 September 2013 I have got a pile of bills of work that has been done to the car since my dad owned. I'm not sure but I don't think that he had any service history when he bought the car, but as you will see a lot money has been spent during his ownership on maintaning the car. The car is in good all round condition the worst mark is the scuff on the front bumper, the colour is a metallic blue which has a purple hue in the sunlight. Car has the usual equipment - PAS, Electric Windows/Mirrors, Air Con and Electric Tilt/Slide Sunroof. So my dad bought the car in August 2010 and below is the work that has been done since. (With bills to proove) 15-09-2010 - Supply only Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter and Forte Fuel Additive - £66.88 30-09-2010 - Brake Pads, Coil Spring and Air Flow Meter - £162.17 30-11-2010 - Clutch Set Complete, Flywheel, Alternator - £585.65 04-07-2011 - Mileage 190744 - Carry out service, fit new cam belt kit - £353.96 31-08-2011 - Mileage 194299 - MOT and fit offside front top suspension arms and bolts - £374.14 23-01/2013 - Mileage 201123 - Suspension Arm - £86.59 04-03-2013 - Brake Pads and Discs - £111.35 25-03-2013 - Mileage 204164 - Heater Motor 2 x 205/55/16 Tyres (Fitted to the Front) - £342.44 24-07-2013 - Mileage 205268 - Suspension Arm and Anti Roll Bar Link - £139.03 27-08-2013 - MOT Brake Discs and Pads Rear - £164.94 To save you working it out that is £2387.15 that has been spent in the last 3 years/ 20000 miles MOT mileage history from the current one is as follows :- 24/07/2010 - 184792 06/09/2011 - 194302 28/08/2012 - 197001 27/08/2013 - 205594 So some pics - These were taken this morning, will try and get some better ones and post on here and when I get the keys I will take some more interior ones. Price £SOLDono Thanks - Baz
  9. Sold - please remove
  10. Yes - I'm going to this, there has been a lot of interest on Facebook so should hopefully be a good turnout. And midweek so doesn't take up the precious weekends...Be good to see a few Corrado's there.
  11. In no particular order: 73' 911 2.7 RS (In Green) MK1 Escort RS1600 MK2 Escort RS1800 Peugeot 205 T16 Mk1 Golf Gti Campaign
  12. If you go onto 'Compare the Market' in there quote screens they ask whether the car has been modified - click yes on that and there is a huge list of what they class as modifications. Some alarming ones to me is a towbar and roofrack. Quite interesting to put your reg in and have a play, start standard and add various mods !!!
  13. One of my favourite colour combinations - if I was a betting man I would say that it probably won't get to the seller's reserve price..
  14. Just seen that it has ended - the guy did say that he was having someone going round to see it today that had offered £1250 for it. I can only assume he bought it.....BARGAIN. And yes Cazza good spot on the winter pack also.
  15. Can't help but think that this isn't a bad buy... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?78194-Black-VR6-for-£1500-ovno-in-Hartlepool-UK
  16. Anyone on here had this - sent the guy a message last night and he said he would take £1200. Bargain hope it's gone to a good home and not a breakers... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-VR6-MAUVE-PURPLE-NO-RESERVE-GRAB-A-BARGAIN-/271137384590?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&nma=true&si=MdWHzABz39kEYXBwPx8SWqDNO%2Fk%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
  17. Would recommend going to a few sales first, just to get a feel of the place and you can get some idea of the prices then before you buy. Used to go to BCA Blackbushe a feew years ago and it was an experience, they sometimes had 3 auction halls running at the same time so you could find yourself running in between the three. In this day and age I think it is a good idea as most new cars come with minimum of 3 yrs warranty then if you are looking for somthing like that at least you may have some warranty to fall back on. Also for the newer stuff BCA used to give you an hour to check the car over, which you could then reject if you found any major mechanical issues. Would definately go and have a look the auctions are like a mini automotive soap opera...
  18. Seen this myself think it is a 2.0 8v, seems to be parked there on a regular basis so assume it must be somone working either in Staples or Pets at Home.. Also spotted an M reg Blackberry VR6 turning up towards the new Welsh Assembly building in LLandudno Junction on Thursday morning.
  19. M999 *** Blue Corrado VR6 on the A49 towards Shrewsbury tonight, you were two cars in front of me....
  20. Was really hoping to go to this - sadly work and family this weekend = no go to show...... Would love to see some pics to really rub salt in the wounds !!!!!!
  21. Give Need to Insure a ring on 01623 720207, I have all 4 of my cars insured with them..
  22. Hopefully going on Saturday, never been before and I'm really looking forward to it..
  23. Just going to have to stick up for the cheap VR6 - had mine for a year and apart from replacing rear discs and pads the car was very reliable. I paid £1300 for it as I had always wanted a Corrado but didn't want to spend too much as it was a 4th car !!!!!!!! Had 160k on it when bought and I did 3k in it and then sold on with a £100 profit so all in all it worked out okay. My only drama with the Corrado was that it just didn't seem as nimble as my Golf Mk2 although it was a much nicer car to drive on a long journey. Must say though having owned various BM's over the years, I do like the sound of yours. Hope that you enjoy your Corrado ownership.

    I Hate Car Insurance

I have used 'NEED TO INSURE' for the last few years. A good bunch of people in a small office and they know what a Corrado is, always a good start. The renewel for the wife's MK4 Gti came through at £420, spent 30mins on compare the market and found a cheaper price £260. Phoned the above up and they came back with a quote of £240 Fully Comp. I also have my A4 and Golf Mk2 Gti with them, they quoted £630 for both, again both fully comp Golf on a classic policy. Had a haggle and said it would be nice at a round £600 he came back with a nice round £580, can't argue with that and I would highly recommend them. Their number is 01623 720081 or needtoinsure.co.uk
