Had my sub 2k VR6 for a year now and has run faultlessly no heartache whatsoever........must admit though mine is one of the ones on Pistonheads at the mo but just got too many cars hence the sale.

Corrado Club National Day reminder Sunday 24th July
BLCSO replied to Butterfly's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Anyone travelling from the North West to this. I will be heading down via Chester, Wrexham, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth then Kidderminster and on to Shelsley Walsh on Sunday. Could meet up along the way. -
Hello and welcome, very nice looking car you got yourself hopefully well worth the wait....Are you over in NI or on the mainland????
-
Try Need to insure Tel: 01623 720207 I had a quote of them last year for the Corrado a very reasonable £280.

Just be aware of this before parting with any cash:- Taken from the Parkers website (Please note: All cars registered between March 2001 and March 2006 that produce more than 225g/km CO2, will temporarily join Band K in 2009 and 2010.) The 530i with a CO2 of 229g/km is £260 a year to tax at the mo......but if they go into there correct tax bracket then your looking at Band 'L' which is £445 a year !!!!

Had to use the Corrado to go to work the other day. So a 200mile commute from North Wales to Swindon, mixed bag of roads, dual carriageway, a-roads and the M5. Thinking the worse I was expecting to have to fill up in Swindon for the return - not to be and the old girl has now got 420 miles on the trip and still going !!!!! Begining to wonder if the Audi Tdi is needed!!!!

BLCSO replied to Lady C's topic in Members Gallery
Hats off to you. Had a look round your car on Sunday and it's looking very good. Massive improvement to what it was when on sale. Just goes to show what a bit/lot of TLC can do. Hopefully get the chance to say hello in the summer shows. -
Can't find 1 years insurance for under £1000, help!
BLCSO replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in Insurance
Have a go with Need To Insure very helpful staff and offered me a very good quote. -
Just out of idol curiosity how complicated is it to convert a 2.0 16v to a VR6. Is it as simple as a straight engine, running gear swap?
-
To be fair he has got it up for £2495 or make an offer..........Problem is I can't find a way of offering to take it off his hands if he gives me £2495.
-
Don't know if its any help but I have one stored in the boot of my Golf GTi (side on)...

This has got to be the steal of the year......Didn't stay up for sale long (couple of hours !!!!!!!!!!) Anyone on here the VERY LUCKY BUYER. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2765092.htm

Thanks all for a great day. Good company, amazing pastie (thanks again Swompy's mum), sunshine and cars, what more could you want. 385 mile round trip (ish after the mini diversion on the way home) and still a little bit left in the tank !!!! I've spoken to Oz and he got home fine and it is now nicely tucked up on the drive after his missus and neighbour pushed it on whilst he steered!!!! Thanks again and see you all again soon. Cazza shame about the VR as it looks half decent in the pics.
-
Cheers Jake, Will speak to Oz tonight and meet up with him somewhere.....(and try and keep up with the VRT)

Any spaces left. Big bro (ozowen) has been asking if I fancy coming. Don't thing I have anything planned for Monday so the Corrado could have a nice run from N.Wales!!!!!! Cheers Baz
