Hi I've tried PMing but for some reason I can't seem to send
-
Hi is the G60 still for sale ?
-
Hi I have a spare, it came off engine thats done 120k been rebuilt once, but have no paperwork, no porting just standard charger, would probably benefit from a rebuild and checkover, yours for £325 plus postage
-
Ok thanks for the info, I just need to get another G60 badge for the Rear then
-
Hi Im trying to but my G60 back to standard, what badges are actually fitted? There should be a G60 Badge on the Front grill and back, but should there be a supercharged badge on the back ?
-
12.6 Volts ? You need to do a current reading with the engine off, and see how many amps are being drawn. You can't just put the meter across the battery it needs to be put inline with the positive terminal. Normaly different connections on your multimeter
-
Have you put a amp metre on it when the engine is off to see what the current is being drawn ?
-
So even when the battery is disconnected the battery is draining?
-
Thanks, didn't think about liquid metal, will get some and give it a go ! How did you find removing the bearing oil seals ?
-
Hi All Just stripped down my G Lader, have found one of the scrolls on the displacer is slightly damaged on the edge, also found that the apex seal and spring are missing from that one! Do I continue rebuilding it or try and locate another displacer ? The rest of the charger is in perfect condition.

Mine before I cleared it this morning
-
When you first got it did it run fine? Mine did this and I removed the throttle body and totally cleaned it and adjusted the throttle cable, now idles fine. Also try pulling the throttle pedal back see if the butterfly is getting stuck open slightly.
-
Doesn't look right as a club sport ! Should be yellow ! or white and it has a rear wiper which was deleted on the club sport model
-
Yeah think they look better, meant to be Porsche Cup 2 replicas! cost me £120 from ebay with tyres, but I think 17" may be to big as steering feels bit vague now ! Really thinking about converting it back to a G-Lader stage 4, as its got the FMIC it should produce some good figures I hope !
-
Got some new used wheels for my G60, not sure though 17" might be to big!
-
Mine was doing this, I completely cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner, mines not done it since
-
Replaced the rear coilovers today, they were completely knackered ! They had no damping at all and basically was driving on the spring, fitted some FK coilovers need to do the fronts at the weekend
-
Well if you manage to find a wheel and want to sell the spare cap let me know, then at least we will both have a complete set !
-
It is quite loud! I think it actually needs a bigger cooler as it quite a small one and not the full size of the rad ! I need to find myself a Golf G60 intercooler for it.
-
Its a M45 ive been told, but I have a M62 I could try and put on it, but it looks physically smaller ! Need to get it rolling road tested as its comes from a VW tuning company up in Luton and not sure what else has been done ! I know its had a Rallye ecu fitted and the injectors are Greys I think ! So it could be producing quite a bit of BHP, front mount cooler and reduced pulley on the eaton ! Its got coilovers fitted but they are totally shot so first tasks are replace the suspension and the wheels!
-
No the rims are round the correct way, just in the picture you cant see the rear properly! One of the caps is missing off these so was going to try and get a replacement, would like to get them refurbed and see what they look like polished, might put them on my MK1 Cabrio
-
Just picked this G60 up Sunday needs bit of work but was a bit of a bargain, has a Eaton fitted with front mounted cooler, uprated injectors and rallye ecu, unusual wheels but they need a total refurb
-
This is what the car looks like with them on !
-
They need a refurb, don't like the black, there 16" just not seen any before, found the manufactures web site and they do expensive alloys for Porsches
