Can someone please advise where the blue temperaure sensor is located in a 2.0l 16v. Thank you in advance

I am currently experiencing problems getting my engine to fire up. 2.0l 16v. 1st symptoms of a problem was a spluttery journey home, followed by the next morning it not starting at all. The fuel pump kicks in, there is a good spark, but it's possibly flooding! I've had the car in a garage to be checked and they reckon it's the metering head or a temperature sensor - would this sound right? By pulling out the relay controlling the head it fires up and then runs until no fuel left. Put the relay back in and a very lumpy idle. I was advised the best bet is to get hold of a new metering head from a breakers - but then theres no guarantees.

Thanks for the replies... ...I've just read the other posts in the link above where it states the reversing lights are also effected - bad news as it's currently in for MOT and now sure to fail. The fault must have occured after I had check all the lights were opperating correctly - seriously bad timing.

My electric windows have a strange fault - they have stopped working if the doors are shut. Door open and they start working again?? the auto closure alarm shuts the window as normal. The illumination on the switches no longer light and also the mirror controls have stopped working. Any help on this would be most appreciated. Sonic

Did the Lupo wiper conversion over the weekend - It is well worth the money, I've owned my C for over 5 years and did the dremel mod but was never happy with it. Lupo wipers work! :shock: I used 2 x 6X2998406 (arm & blade) lose one blade and fit 1x 1J2955425A (blade)

I wonder if any owners will do the lupo windscreen wiper mod? :D

No! a couple of visits to local scrappies, came out with a blank. Either the controls had already been removed or they were broken. After being told the Stealership wanted £94 +VAT I decided to take it apart to see if I could fix it. The problem I found with the controls wasn't as decribed in the post above but with the gear contolling the lever arms for the vent cables. It had jammed causing the centre spindle point to break and was no longer engaging the teeth on the back of the control. With a little help from a ty-wrap I managed to retain the gear so it rotated and functioned correctly.

Haven't tried it yet - I need to source a facia control panel from a scrappy.

Hello, Newbie here on the forum. I have owned my 'c' 2.0l 16v for 5 years - and loved every minute. It's silver with black leather and standard apart from a magnex ss exhaust. The problem I've found is with the heater control which adjust between screen, face & feet etc. It turns freely with no effect to the setting - Is it completely broken and is it something easy to fix???
