I am wanting to reupholster my seats but i cant take my own ones out as the rado is my daily ride, and im thinking of covering the dash to match. so im looking for: Rear seats perferably with the center hump in the rear, condition is no problem as long as the foam inside is still all there. Front seats again condition is no problem providing that the foam is all in good order and prefrably the seats still fold as they should, (i dont need any runners eithe) also if the front seats you want rid of are heated and you have the looms and switch im happy to take them. Dash - right hand drive, any condition providing its still in one piece. Thanks Guys.

i passed the test yesterday (and i did it in the Corrado too) and finally got rid of those L plates that wernt doing my rado any justice. "yay" went to tell my insurers that i passed (insured with the halifax btw) they said i can but it will cost me just over £900 to change the licence to a full one. so i asked to cancil the policy they said yeah thats fine that will cost you £35, 10 mins later in the call thire telling me that its actually going to cost me £595 just to cancel the policy. Bastuards! i went out and got another quote from the kwik-fit platinum insurers they quoted me £2200 fully comp with break deown cover and loads of extras thrown in, "Awesome" so now i got my full licence back and i can afford my insurance. ALSO last night i hit a fox, when he went under i lost all power, turns out he managed to snap my fuel line just before the filter, started ****ing out petrol every where. so thank god i had that the break down cover :D

while I poped out in my C (with L plates on it), i saw a Red C going in to Tesco in Aldershot while i was on my way out, it had missmatched alloys and the front set looked smaller than the rear. plated "G60 KO"

I agree any one who takes a good body and dose it ain't all there in the head. But if it were done well and tastfully it could look awesome. ---------- Post added at 01:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:45 PM ---------- Personally I think there are to many C's made to look like this http://i967.photobucket.com/albums/ae154/crisv6/fubpcvzk.jpg?t=1290536073

ive been on the look out to see if anyone has gone for a ratty look with a C, ive seen some jap style and euro stuff and a few that look like they have seen better days but no rat themed ones. so i ask has anyone seen any? and is it someone with balls or Stupidity that would do this to a C, whats your opinion?

Thanks all for the advice to get a cheap lil motor to use for now. It's a good idea but its not going to happen. My minds made up on that one and thats to have and use the rado as a daily motor, what ever the cost (although I am doing everything I can to keep the insurance down).i am already looking for another to have as a project car but that's for another thred

if its just made out of leather then give it a light soaking in some hot water then give it a go, providing its not got plastic in there it should then stretch a lil, then just wait for it to naturally dry and shrink, or get the hair dryer/heat gun on it and being carefull not to burn it. it should then return to its original size and give you the tight fit.

I can cancel the insurance for a fee from what I just had to double check on its going to cost me between £27 and £150 to do it. I have been really tempted to use the corrado to do the test in, but I figured it might be worth popping down the test center in the car before hand and have a word with a couple of the test guys about the suitability of the car for the test. I cant help but think that the guys wouldent be able to cope with it, that and im sure the guys down there all seem to be quite old and quite large, I wonder if they can actually get down in to my car. :s

I can't spray the carpet and roof lining tho, I could spray the pillercovers and that but its going to look crap if it gets scratched. :(

I got No no claims. I got a few weeks at stupidly high insurance then ill cancel it once ive re-passed my test and pick up a cheaper one ,ive now found a few insurers offering 1400 -1800 once i lose the L's , if i keep searching i might get it down to 1k from some obscure insurance provider..wich i think is not bad all things considered.

so if wanted to restore the original Beige bits its going to cost me an arm and a leg. from what ive googled im looking at about a grand to get it all back, i can see why the old owner swaped it out :(

So what should I really be expecting to become an extra cost with a VR6 thats done 175k+ because I haven't really thought about haveing to fork out any more on it for a while. I have just enough funds to cope with the insurance and general maitanance, just not too sure about what to expect if and when something breaks :s

VR6Pete - Im 24 , i figure that if i can manage to lighly stroke the accelerator for the next couple of months and keep my lead foot at bay i'l be alright cos 3 points drop off in November, by then i should have lost the L plates again too, ive waited too long to settle for any thing less so getting a little 1.1 or 1.2 motor just aint going to cut it. I will Just have to Lump it for now i guess, if i want the car i just have to pay the price. and one hell of a price it is

someone in the past has obviously changed out my interior before I owned it as there is a beige/cream carpet and the seats door trims and hand break cover are grey. I've never realized that there were different covers about until I noticed that the little tray behind the back ashtray was preventing it from sitting correctly, or rather the square metal plate underneath. any one know any details on the one I will need to get that to fit correctly?

so this is how it all started for me, :* i passed my test started off driving with a 1.1 metro then bumped up to 1.8 Escort GTI then discovered a Corrado 2.0 - :D 2 weeks after bribing my mate to sell it to me some git decided they would give me a hand in writing it off. so back to the escort - :( "oops was that a camera?" - 3 Points and then the week before having my licence 2years "oops, was that another camera?" - 3points "NOOOOoooooo........" back to a provisional licence with 6 points then i see a Corrado VR6 for sale and cant not buy it, as Corrado's are so frikkin cool - :D start looking at the insurance ....£4200.00 on average. so eventually i found a policy that will charge me £3700ish and pay it monthly and its only got a £50 cancellation fee just so i can keep it on the road, at least untill i get my full licence back (test date Mid October) I could realy do with something a bit cheaper so i ask, has anyone got themselves stupidly in to a similar position or have any idea on what i can do?
