  2. Hello, Just purcahsed a Momo snap off steering wheel from Ebay, it comes complete with boss. Just released its from a MK1 Golf. Does anybody know if this will fit a Corrado? Cheers Mark
  3. Got the car on a ramp in my dinner hour, one of the techs had a listen and thought it might be cam chai. He ran the car up to temp, put in some engine flush and then drianed the oil, brand new oil and filter. Took the car for a run and it is sweet as a nut. Better performance, better fuel economy and no rattles. Good times. Thanks for the help offhisrocker. Cheers Mark
  4. I dont think i got a dud, its been fine. Drove it to work this morning and took it to 4 rpm in 4th, no rattle what so ever, i can only pressume its bottom end as my last engine had new head gasket up, replaced everything, valves, timing belt, all gaskets the whole lot, then 4 weeks later bang, so i can only relate it to that. The engine i have put in has only done 95,000, runs sweet. Maybe i miss heard the noise with all the road noise and rain. Only happens when under load around 4000RPM. I'll try it again tonight. Cheers
  5. Hello once again, has anybody had or has heard of KR 1.8 16v engines rattling from the bottom end around 4000rpms? I had the same issue with my old engine which eventually gave up. It sounds like oil starvation, also sounds like the shells are rattling. Do these engines have any known bottom end issues? Oil pump problems etc. If the engine goes again that's me and corrados finished and I really really don't want that to happen. Please any help would bf appriciated! Maybe even a corrado specialist based near Manchester. Thanks again

Just phoned TPS (Trade Part Specialists) quoting the part number listed on a few different posts on here, they have now told me its gone to multiple supersession. Its now £37 + VAT per arm and then the blades are now separate! Is this right? Cheers
  9. Hello, Does anybody know if 15'' x6'', 4x130 4 stud beetle wheels would bolt straight onto a corrado with or without modifaction? Cheers
  10. ARGH!!!! Spoke far to soon. Driving to work this morning, no frickin indicators again and car decided while i was driving along to immobilize itself, luckily it didnt stop on me. I think there is an issue with the toad alarm fitted, i have been told to chase the wires up to where they join the indicator wires in the column and cut them. Hopefully that well fix the problem, if not any other sugestions? Cheers
  11. Relay stank when i took it out, non gen replacement £13. Both hazards and indicators now working. Next job...
  12. From what i can tell the hazards are controlled by the same relay but different fuses. After reading a few old threads, i seen other people have had similiar issues as me and 5 out of 10 have been relay but the rest have been alarm related. I have noticed that my alarm is showing as immobilized as im driving, also sometimes the light (for the alarm) will flick on and off. could this still be a relay fault? Cheers
  13. Hello again, I fitted my stereo to rado yesterday and everything went well, new speakers wires etc. Took the beast for a run today and found i now have no indicators, Great!!. Checked the fuse as it has blown before, fuse fine. Checked the hazards which i know are on a separate fuse and they are not working either. Where do i go next, as i'm very confused? Could i have done something while fitting the stereo or do the hazards and indicators have the same relay? HELP HELP HELP. Mark :confused4:
  14. Mimjed, i will see if i can upload a pic today, I clamped off the top and bottom of the hoses going to both valves (using long nose mole grips and rags to stop the teeth damaging the pipe) popped round to me dads house and used 22mm copper pipe, one cut down to 5inches (i think) and the other one about 4inches. Left the cap off the header tank ran it up and topped up coolant, the heater is working a treat, funny feeling the matrix will be next though, very very very slight steam up occasionally. Cheers Mark
  15. Valves removed and copper pipe fitted, its boiling hot now inside the car. BRILLIANT!! Next job find out why the bloody temp gauge is not working. Thanks again David Mark
  16. Timing was out. There are 2 more holes for the dizzy bolts to go into, swapped about timed up and its a million times better. Big run after work to test but feels better already. Temp gauge not working next. Cheers for the help guys Mark
  17. Hello, I could be wrong but since i put a second hand engine in my corrado this weekend the car feels that it has lots its go. I put a like for like KR 1.8 16v engine in it, i kept all my original wiring including dizzy etc, kept both manifolds and fuel supply, yet when i pull away the car feels like has lost its instant go, it feels really slugglish, the tick over is around 700rpms. Could this be a tuning issue? or fuel issue? There is no misfires or anything that seems to be out of place, the car is reluctant to start when cold but fine when running. I have been driving a pug 205 1.4XS while my beast has been off the road and i actually miss the pug since gettin the raddo back which i know is very very wrong. Please can anybody shed any light on this issue?? 1 last thing does anybody know which sensor on the right hand side of the head controls the temp gauge as that has stopped working? Thanks Mark
  18. David your briliant. Thanks again. Mark
  19. I have been told 2 sections of copper pipe will do the job, is this true? Cheers Mark
  20. Thanks for your help David, What did you replace yours with? Thanks Mark
  21. Sorry but have a quick look and can not find the bypass valves for the matrix. The car is 1.8 16v. Are these still available or have they been reproduced by another company? Thanks
  22. Full engine, no starter or alty. probable will stick a water pump on, although ive been told the engine has only cover 60,000 miles.
  23. From the top, 2 months ago i had head gasket issue, using water. Had the top half of engine rebuilt, new head gasket, rocker cover, timing belt everthing etc. Only problem i didnt have enough money to have head skimmed. So driving down M6, water light comes on, pull over at services, leave it to cool down for an hour, checked water and topped up. Set off again, M42 water light on again only 10 miles from service thought i would feather her there, then oil light on, crazy buzzer starts and thats it loss of power swung across the motorway to hard shoulder switching of engine as i roll along, steam comes pouring out the engien bay and exhaust. Antifreeze covers the entire back end of the car. Knew then not to try turning the car over. AA man tries, says belt has gone, im thinking it only had a new belt 8 weeks ago. Checked the oil 6 hours later sitting on the maximum. Somebody has said possible oil pump seazed stripping the belt???? Im not sure all i know is it is FUBAR'd. Got another engine, timing belt kit and clutch. I was wondering if anything could of been affected? HELP!!!!! Mark
  24. Hello peeps, Engine went pop on the M42 2 weeks back, toyed with selling car as is on EBAY until 3 corrados went passed and then i remebered why i got it in the first place. Located an engine, engine crane and tarporling for when it rains. Gonna pop new timing belt kit, clutch kit and rocker cover gasket on new engine before it goes in. My question is because the old engine went pop (believe its bottom end) and spat out all coolant/smoke, will it have damaged anything else like matrix ETC???? Looking forward to good news!!!!! Regards Mark
