i have fitted some ebc discs and pads and found top suspension bearing seized so its of the road for a few days.but will be ready for santa pod this weekend.

:help:hi all im after a down pipe as the stupid speed ramps have split my front spliter and exhaust system again. for a non:cat: 90 1.8 16v kr also after the exhaust fire proofing around the front 2 boxes and possibly a exhaust manifold at the right price and in around corby northants area.

I had a main black wire from ignition switch to fuse box where the Clifford/falcon alarm/immobilizer burn out as it had dry solder joints and tape fell off which set my indicators wild and this happened while driving on A14 at 70ish. I could smell burnt wiring and I cut-out, burnt out wiring was making contact to indicator wire was a quik fix at the layby i made it into.i had a some tape with me and took out full pump relay ucliped fuse box and taped up black wires put relay back and made it home I have removed the complete clifford alarm as it was fitted in 95 and has had a few problems. Im now fittind a new remote central locking alarm imobiliser and gonna de-lock it with rear passat handles something i wanted to do but this has made me a bit qwicker.

LA5Y Paint looks gray/navy in dull light but the purple peal comes out in the light. it just needs the n/s wing painted and good lacker.

hi im new to forums but the info on here has helped get helios back on the road and would like to meet up with others around Northants at track days. a few pics but why is is every time I clean the car it rains.

the paint is 1990 LA5Y helios blue sometimes looks purple in bright light and dark gray at night the only panel not original is front n/s wing what was like that when i got the car. I'm looking for one painted in good condition as its not been painted right and started to rust under side light. I have been going through the cars old paper work from 1992 to 2010 and had a lot done over the years at vw garages and found it has koni de-carbon all-round as they are orange and blue 40mm lower springs i didn't know what make till I seen receipts and toe set-up paperwork. hi ya all I have just spent a year rebuilding my corraddo 1.8 16v in Helios blue. now m.o.t tax and goes well with some new boots. I'm gonna do some track days as I'm close to Rockingham and Silverstone also going to vw shows at santa pod. My next project for it is a engine conversion. I'll post some pics soon.:smug:
