I drive a '95 8v will this make any difference?

I'm wanting to upgrade my brakes to 280mm, as understand it I can use the calipers/carriers off a G60 or VR6 & then buy 280mm discs. From memory my old mk3 Golf gti also had 280mm brakes so would I also be able to use calipers/carriers from the mk3? As these cars were quite common I'm counting on there been more parts out there and therefore cheaper than buying somebody's G60 set up.

Ok thanks, sounds like a good deal. Will it include everything I need to convert to 280mm, carriers etc? What's the condition of everything? any pictures?

I have a cassette box that I will be shortly putting on ebay. How much are you looking at paying?

There is one on ebay going at £39.99 + postage. I'll go a bit cheaper than that though.

Hi, I'm looking to convert my '95 8v to 280mm fronts. As I understand I can get away with just changing the carriers to the 280mm items and keep my calipers and increase to 280mm G60 disks?

Or would I need to use the bigger calipers with the carriers?

Either way I need the parts to complete the conversion.

Anybody outhere with the required parts?
