Do u think that greasing the spoiler may stop it from struggling? If so how do i get to it? Cheers for the help Iain

Hi Storm 2 I have the same problem - it is fuse 16 - try and change it then it may start working - i have put in a 20A instead of a 15A - it has blown again but thatis the problem Have you fixed it so far Iain

Hi Guys Posted message on Saturday about my car stalling immediately after firing. With many people help found out it is fuse no. 16 that needed replacing - replaced this with another 15A fuse but it blew straight away - tried 20A which helped me go for a drive - after parking up the fuse went again! I did notice that the spoiler has a problem going back down - could this be the problem which is making the fuse blow or is it something to do with the immobiliser which uses the same fuse Thanks again for any help Iain

Thanks Guys, Will probably try C&R then for these repairs and maybe Stealth for servicing. Any idea on the best fuel to use - when i bought it the nearest fuel station was ASDA but the 4-star nozzle wouldnt fit so just put unleaded in - this wouldnt make any difference in the short term would it? Cheers Kev, I`m sure i will probably get better advise here than at VW. Will bear your advise in mind but think it is a job for VW. Cant believe i have really only had a one and a half hour drive before the first problem!!!!! Iain

Bought a 1995, VR6 with 73k on the clock last night - drove it from Manchester to Nottingham with no problems. Then once i got home turned the engine off then started it 5 minutes later, it would start but die straight away - this is still the case!!! Does anyone have a clue what it might be please - cant believe my bad luck!!!!! Thanks everyone Iain
