Hi, are you still the man to speak to about Corrado roof rails? I’m after a set for mine
-
Do i need 5 if im replacing? my warm start issue i think is injector related and i know you have the standard 4 and then a cold start injector too? so would i need to get hold of 5? also does anyone have a better price than 40 each?
-
Following from my previous thread... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?55248-Warm-start-issues... I'm still having starting issues, HT leads have now been changed too, and a different battery from my old car installed, although it is a smaller battery but the old one wouldn't charge. The car fires first time every time when dead cold, and immediately after being driven. The car however does not fire when it has been left standing after running for a short while and is still warm. Both time when this has happened we've managed to fire the car by using jump cables after a minute or two of building some revs from the other car to get some life into the Corrados battery. So... could this indicate a battery or alternator fault, or would this still be an injector issue? Cheers in advance, Geo

Bumping this again, tried to fully charge my battery and woulnd't fully charge.... had an old battery kicking about that did so i've fitted that, unfortunately i can't test by driving as the car has the exhaust off for welding atm. But could the battery be anything to do with it rather than injectors? bearing in mind that when we got the car started recently it was still a little warm and it only fired once it was jumped from a friends car....
-
Ideal, luckily a friend of mine has a KR head kicking around, hoping if that still has injectors in it i can blag em for the time being... fringers crossed

Right, so is there any way of cleaning up the injectors or is it simply get them replaced also is there an easy way to identify which one/s are leaking?
-
Had a quick search but to no avail, heres a quick run down of the warm starting issue i have on my 1.8 16v KR Rado Basically starts fine when cold, when warm after a drive trying to fire up again it really struggles, just wondering what the most likely cause would be, the dizzy cap and rotor arm were changed but ive also noticed my leads aren't in the best condition. It's also been mentioned about temprature sensors? where would these be in my bay? I did previously have ignition switch issues but these i believe are now sorted When trying to warm start the car just decided not to fire, eventually got it started with jump leads on another car after a few go's at firing so could this be a battery problem? Any help appreciated :)

Apologies for stealing the image below lol... I'm after part no's for the cover just below the airbox pipe, think what it covers is something to do with fuel injection? its the unit with all the small black pipes coming from it. Also looking for the Black plastic cover at the front of the bay, appears to cover the top of the Radiator? Any help much appreciated :)

Ok so I started the car today and went to move it off my drive to get it towed to a friends garage for the new brake pipes.... It did not go well..... Driveshaft went... lol, Had the car recovered and taken 7 miles to my friends garage for the driveshaft and brake pipes to be done for MOT re-test, went in my mates inspection pit and saw it, its broken under one of the boots as it rotates the engine end but not the wheel end... fun and games! Got my new sticker on mind that i made up from 2 stickers so i could have yellow lettering hah, also notice my MOT friendly tails... these will be going Red/ Smoke to tie in with the future wheel refurb thats haoppening, metallic grey centres, high gloss silver or polished lips -

Im not massively machanically minded but have a good friend who works at the garage who will be MOT'ing, hes done all ym cars previously and looked after them well heard back from them a second ago, car needs a new Fuel Pump which is coming from VW and will be on tomorrow, also needs a new caliper thats being done today, then test tomorrow, so going to be on edge waiting now for another day... fun haha
