The car will be worth alot more as an original with a 2.9 12v than a 2.8 24v conversion done to it ;) -

I don't have the tools or the space to do the conversion, my mate has a purpose built garage in his garden that he works out of I was going to get him to do the conversion What is the engine codes need for the 2.8 and 3.2? -

I have found a remanufactured abv for sale for £1200 I would like to keep the car original as it will be worth more in years to come On the other hand I think the newer engine is better for parts etc -

I was just wondering on rough figure for rebuilding a vr6 was and a rough figure for fitting a 2.8 24v? i phoned stealth racing today and they quoted me £1550 for head refurb and chain/clutch work including labour and parts I am wondering if the big end is starting to go as the car is smoking a little on start up now also! :bonk: I am a bit confussed on what to do now! the car has other issues with cooling and wiring loom has been butchered by some alarm fitter! :sad: :censored:

Morning Guys I was wondering if there is a list of parts needed for a rebuild on a vr6? I rang B&B components and they have given me this list so far Clutch Kit Sump gasket crank seal housing crank seal chain kit rod shells crank bearings thrust washer I need to do my rear crank seal and chain, so was thinking of doing the bottom end whist its out :scratch: Cheers Rob

morning guys i managed to get a 2PJ 860 belt from my local motor factors for £6.80 and it is a gates belt :D the temps have come down but the oil is still sitting around 110c and wet up to 118c when thrashing it! time to change the oil cooler?

Cheers buddy, it's hidden right above the relay! I found out what's wrong! The nice person who fitted the alarm has done a cowboy job! The main earth that was soldered and taped had come apart and had blown the fuse!

Hey guys I had a look at my leak in the passenger side foot well this morning and now my windows don't work and central locking! Are they on the same fuse? And I can't find what fuse the windows are ment to be on! Cheers Rob

Guys i need some help! I need to get hold of the belt for the 2nd rad fan asap! I have the part number 1H0 119 137 A its a 2 rib 860mm belt I have phoned my local main dealer and they say there is only 2 avalible! and not in stock GSF, ECP, B&B comps dont do it! Where else can i try?
