seems to be like the underside bracket bit that has play in it, dont know if its missing any plastic pieces etc

thats pic of bit under bonnet, piece on left seems to have a little bit of play in it, ie i can shake it from side to side, should this be stiff?

going to try have better look at it today while its dry, i mean it can work fine for days on end then sometimes it will struggle to find fifth, so put back into neutral and then goes into 5th no problem. Its just as if its just missing it and no more, but like i said the gearstick itself has a hell of a lot of movement when its in neutral, not tight at all

it gets the gear, but sometimes just finding 5th needs two attempts, not normal and i would rather get it sorted.

Sometimes hard to engage 5th gear, had a look at the repair guide for gearbox and seems ok under the actual gearknob, there is a lot of play in it though when it is in neutral, and noticed the two rod type things that under bonnet attached to top of gearbox, one is pretty firm and the other has fair bit of play in it. is this normal? 1991 corrado g60

Im looking to get my drivers side window working again, passenger door handle fixed and the gearbox looked at, as it sometimes feels really loose and hard to get into 5th gear i have no time to sort any this myself as constantly offshore at moment, looking for any suggestions of where to go or if anyone want to make a few bucks and do it for me

My situations changed and im going to need a car with more seats and a towbar now so i need to sell it now as no use to me at moment and no garage to store it

well just sticking with new vag discs and ferodo pads :) not going nuts with car so maybe your right no need for bigger brakes, just thought they would have looked impressive under the wheels

Ok cool i will deal with that when im home, offshore at moment :( was thinking i have got good few quid to spend on car, so is there any easy upgrade to do? fitting bigger discs and calipers? Found out bit of info about car and has had wee bit done to charger etc and will be trying to squeeze more out of the engine in due course, so maybe got time to upgrade the brakes just now in preparation

yeah im going to go with setup ppl have recommended :) at end of day its best advice from people who know. thinking of getting the windows tinted as well but heard on front now its illegal?

if i just replace it with another switch could this possibly cure it?
