as said really, looking for a set of camshafts from a ABF engine to go in my KR head while its apart and having lots of work done; preferably with pulley still on ready to fit. saw a set up for £50 a little while ago but didnt need them then and missed out... asking price to include postage please unless your fairly near me (LU7 - leighton buzzard area) cheers! :thumb right: matt

hi again! sorry mods for the second wanted ad, two completely different things but merge into one if you'd prefer ;) im after a 'performance' exhaust system for my KR engined corrado and thought i'd give here a try before i press buy it now and order myself a new jetex 3 box system.... this is ideally what im after; stainless steel, 2.5inch bore and would prefer the 3 box as oppose to the 2. slim chance i suppose but just wondering whether anyone had one lying around/thinking of removing from their car soon? doesn't have to be the jetex one in particular, just an example of what im after really, any offers? postage would be sweeeet as but if your a little way-a-way (from LU7 area) then i do travel a bit for work so might be able to sort something out if you dont mind waiting for a conviniant day for me to get it!! kind thoughts in advance :luvlove: matt

^ appreciate the help, that atleast gives me a bit to check but i agree that it does sound like sound fudged wiring connection somewhere, thanks again

really struggling with this one right now  had to drive home (0.5 miles from where i was) with high beam on and noticed that dipped beam suddenly decided to come on too so i turnt high beam off and continued to drive and all of a sudden dipped beam went off again! least to say ive never hit the high beam stalk quicker before but its really limiting me to day time driving atm! anyone had similar problems? are there relays related to the headlight loom - standard loom by the way... ta

Thanks for the help guys, I think your right in that important bits such as headgaskets/oil pumps etc should be dealer ones really, nice one! Thread can be closed :)

i wouldnt mind a pair of wings tbh if anyone has a decent pair lying around? especially if they're later ones so i could snatch up one of these late bumpers... hold tight guys

would just like to say the new switch from 8vMatt turnt up yesterday, quality item and great service from you sir! unfortunatly my headlights have stopped working again this evening and im in need of advice! we can rule out the headlight switch itself as they worked this morning (straight after i fitted the switch) and have just stopped again this evening; the situation is sometimes... 1) the sidelights both come on, (first click of the switch) but no dipped beam when the switch is clicked again - however when high beam is flashed, you can see the dipped beam bulbs lighting up aswell as the high beam so its not faulty bulbs... 2) the n/s sidelight bulb comes on only (o/s not working), and dipped beam does work, as well as high beam... what the hell is going on???!! i have now replaced some wiring behind the switch in the cab (dodgy wiring), a new switch, replaced another section (about a foot length) of wiring which runs under the airbox (KR engine) and had new headlights with new bulbs, cleaned all connections, and no fuses are blown under the dash; above the pedals... does it sound like there could be some more s****ty wiring elsewhere in the engine bay or even a relay problem? if there is any associated with the headlights?? would love some help guys as this is p*****g me off big time and im starting to loath the corrado!  matt (also, would i benifit this new problem by changing the thread title? unsure how to do it!!)

hi Macdaddy (its not everyday someone gets called that by me!) can i ask whereabouts your located as im 99% sure that £25 doesn't include postage! also what would be the difference in fitting this one instead of my early one? are the lights (indicators/fogs etc) different at all? obviouslythis would result in more work so might not be worth it, thanks for the help
-
hi rod, sorry its an early type (1990) for my 16v, thanks!
-
f*****g legend!! :thumbleft: yeah sorry bud, ive seen forum buys etc but having never really dealt in any myself didnt really know how difficult it is... ah well, live and learn! feedback is always top notch for those who earn it haha appreciate all the help guys but as you might have seen on my wanted thread, ive got bigger problems so i cant drive it at the momment anyway!

hey all! after my dads careful manouvering of his arctic lorry which for some reason he decided to bring home for his lunch break, im now in need of a drivers side (early? if they're any different) wing - really would love as little rust/crease dents as poss. please, will go for any colour however and pick up would be ace if your near me (LU7 area) otherwise let me know if your willing to courier, prices etc... also, not as important but could do with a front bumper i think, mine was very tatty so this has just finished it off haha... :bonk: all inputs considered - pics would be ace, thanks guys, matt

hi guys, in need of some help urgently, whilst awaiting a new headlight switch (after 155K mine finally broke up inside!) i was wondering whether i could make up a little piece of wire with the 'spade' terminals on to push into the redconnector block behind the switch so i could create the circuit to turn the headlights on, has anyone else done this before?? hopefully you know what i mean! and if so, which numbers (according to the back of the headlight switch each spade is numbered) need looping together? thanks in advance!! matt :thumbleft:
-
yeah good advice i think, same for the head bolts too i'd imagine then? cheers!

hey guys, have done a search but to no prevale... im about to order a headgasket for my 1990 kr engine and am wondering what the drifference is between the (standard?) fibre faced one and the mulit-layered steel items available...? IF, it makes a difference the car is having a fair bit of work done including a fair skim off the head, should this affect my choice? finally where do you guys recommend as prices seem t differ but im sure quality will also.... help appreciated!!

^ really does sound like the vacuum hoses underneath the air intake piping are split soomewhere - i had this exact problem/symptoms... car would start and idle if you gave it a bit of gentle throttle but die by itself and once dead would not start again for 10/15 minutes... turnt out to be a vacuum hose i had forgot to put back on! (going to the valve on the back of the air box) but this would obviously have the same effect as a split hose, easy to check - just remove the centre piece of induction hose which connects the metering head to the throttle body and inspect all the (4mm?) vacuum hosing for cracks; try gently bending it in places to see if splits appear (will make them more visible). :thumbleft:

did you watch the video for it? sounds incredible though!!but does look daft at night :bonk:

PVW issue - December 2010 - 200bhp lightweight corrado, really?

second this though! all 3 of those cars are pretty extreme, i was just excited at the prospect of mild performance upgrades + interior removal (granted he's obviously gone further than this) = a flippin nippy car! i accept that 200bhp/ton is quite achievable, but not with an exhaust system + filter + inside gutted -

didn't think so either, unless theres some serious stuff going on under there, but then you wouldnt leave it out of the spec list... thanks for that! might give him a shout :thumbleft: -
