ah best laid plans........ woke up Friday with man lurgey .....sick bad.. undeterred i soldiered on and hopefully by tonight the engine will be out. progress is slower..im a day behind where i wanted to be but feeling better today

well it starts tomorrow....booked day off work big list... engine out of bb. interior out n cleaned. sunroof out bumpers off. tidy engine bay. then im ready to take engine from ss (satin silver) treat to new gaskets etc n put in bb. going to do engine swap over seven days with mot at end as i need a daily.. may even do hubs...wishbones n driveshafts...money, corrado cooperation and time permitting. deadline of end of March when tax runs out on ss. scuffed knuckles...lots of cursing and tears to come!!!

its not that i don't like silver ones..had lots planned smoked lights etc. but parking next to bb everyday and remembering it just feels like im in the wrong one.. i have deliverys around London...maybe interested if i can't repair

hi all thought id share my decision to put my valver back on the road. someone ran into the back of it last year and i took it off the road. by luck i came into possession of a satin silver valver and got it a mot. since driving it..it doesn't do it for me. i kept the bb and used it to get silver one going but when i see it i want it...silver is just not my colour. so today i pulled the dent out and all it needs now is the rear badge filled n smoothed and a bumper....well for the back. also needs a metering head.....injector clips....various pipes...a clutch ...tyres and the minor mould removed from inside. interior also needs refitting in places.. but i started and can't wait to get on with more... just gotta decide what to do with silver one....sell....swap.....parts that's what i did in last two hours

thanks but bit the bullet and swapped every thing from my working but off road c to my new satin silver one.....metering head...air intake the whole lot. sweet as now....happy next prob....getting hot...fan works when shorted ...new sensor no joy

just replaced intake hose from top to throttle body and vac hoses for known good still the same??? just pulsates between 3200-2800 constant

cheers all have wiggled n checked hoses...was fine for a couple of revs ...then did it at 4000 ...then 3 again so looks like vac leak. vr6 ..seat was right forward so tied a block of wood to my foot..didn't help :-D

hi issues with car not going past 3000 rpm gets there then drops n picks up..like pulsating any ideas does it in gear or just revving

hi I've got a 94 blackberry valver .no tax.mot out on 13th. it has been hit in rear crumpling boot..not major needs a bit of tlc ...usual sunroof prob and heater one don't work do i sell as a whole or break..... know id make more breaking but what could i get as a whole

which fuel pump....in tank or under car

fuel pump under car whirrs for a couple of secs everytime i turn the key then is silent.. I've swapped temp sensor for known good no difference... gonna swap the coil over...got brand new dibby and arm stuck ! ---------- Post added at 5:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 5:49 PM ---------- and leads and plugs?

engine turns fine just doesnt fire.. injectors are new fuel pump is only thing i havnt checked

hi all i have came into possession of a satin siver valver its failed mot on emissions..so I've replaced cat n lambda.. anyway it doesn't start every time ? connect bat turn key....engine turns doesn't fire...turn off wait ten secs ...turn key...fires first time. it does this consistently...turn it off and try to start and it won't...turn off...wait ...turn on and fires.. im led to believe and can see evidence of coil..leads... plugs...metering head...all being replaced when it starts it runs fine although it did bog down and had no power last time i drove it...took water temp sensor off and it ran again...tested sensor and seems fine any ideas anyone. i am searching the forum as you read this want it on the road as a nurse ran into my blackberry as i stopped for a ambulance !!!

i find them good too 350 to insure my valver with full nc and declared mods ...lower...wheels...tint...kept on street full comp and breakdown cover im 35

hi all been swapping a gearbox in a mk4 golf 1.6 got it in ..but the clutch arm won't go all the way up..makes a clang im thinking the little bar was out a bit when i pushed gearbox in???? any one know

is it possible to remove the output driveshaft flanges off a mk4 golf...if so how ???? thanks
