update..... yesterday i did the bulb job and had a bright light which dimmed when h/l fuse removed....bingo... or so i thought as having recent h/l issue seemed logical moved wires from under air box did bulb test..great job left it four hours and started bang on. took her out for twenty mins. parked up left it overnight..about seven hours and no go again :-( bulb test today...no dim light until alarm starts and its bright could it be the alarm ??? can't turn it off.how hard to unwire sorry for the essay

still done it this morning aarrgghh back to square one horn kept sounding when i turned the key this time ???? maybe time to change cars :-(:-(:-(

its still doing it with the good battery...the old one is off the car ????? will try earth tomorrow too dark now

tries to turn over just seems like no power in battery after i got home..i left it for 30 mins and starts fine but i just know it won't in the morning and six o'clock with alarm blaring is not appreciated by my neighbours...lol i can only think of earth problem but dint know now to check

hi all... having a problem with starting the car... wouldn't start yesterday battery was flat...got a good battery and ran ok wouldn't start again today..went with bump...drove to work and it wouldn't start at home time. got 13.8 v on battery when car is running any ideas ???? many thanks in advance Scott

Isv is first....clean out with carb cleaner. Engine mounts may need replacing metering head may need replacing Isv cleaner don't work There is a lot of posts about this do a search i had the same mine was metering head which i got from scrappy for a tenner

What is required for the abf cam upgrade does it need remapping etc

No not done yet...too busy trying to sort headlights blowing fuses..now fixed. Cv boots on the weekend will post when done

Hi all. My headlight problem still persists.... When i start the car and put lights on all is fine.. When i accelerate in gear the fuse blows for drivers headlight..???? Haven't done anything to wiring or damaged any cables just started on its own accord.. First it started by the foglights flashing under acceleration..so i took fuse out any ideas anyone...starting to do my head in and my love for the car is truly being tested......arrrrgh ---------- Post added at 04:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:50 PM ---------- Its a 16v by the way... Thanks .....i found it.....i was doing some work on the boot surround and left a screw in the cover when i clipped it back on...the screw went thru rear foglights wiring Guess who feels like a numpty :-(:-(

Reversing lights are not needed for mot if i remember right...could be switch by gearstick

Took standard off my valver .not in very very gd cond . but if your desperate its fine. As far as i know there is nothing wrong with them. can get a pic if you want. As i said if you just need to get back on the road you can borrow it if you need to. All four corners inc top mounds iirc
