  1. i'll take a black one thanks
  2. what size turbo will the jacket fit? i mite be interested if its big enough
  3. Hey mate thanks Theres not really much weight with a fake tail pipe with no actual back box ---------- Post added at 1:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 1:20 AM ---------- Plus kept it looking normal for less attention from the feds lol Plus i guess i technically have 0 emissions from the rear tail pipe lol
  4. I'm aiming for 400whp And i dont want to disturb the flow of the exhaust by changing its path, either way did it to be safer than sorry
  5. yea i went with a fake on the rear and a side exit, i don't care about how loud it is, but i tried a rectangle one but as its side exit, a rectangle is too restrictive and it would need to be massive to achieve the same performance
  6. mate i'm with you on the pads, feroda ds2500 are the best for my needs as far as i'm concerned and no I haven't looked into replacement discs but what ever the cost is i will need them at some stage and given the money saved in buying a kit, i don't mind the discs being a lil pricey lol. ---------- Post added at 3:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:15 PM ---------- Right lads, got back from the exhaust shop yesterday,it might not be every ones cup of tea but I like it and I built this car for me not you lol feed back welcome this is how everyone will see my car,but heres the truth of the matter lol side exit is the way forward lads, who says you cant have styling and performance will update with down pipe pics and screamer pipe pics tomorrow. what do you think?
  7. mate i fully agree with you there, the way i see it as well the k-sport ones whould be fine, i want to go 8 pot simply as the kit has 330mm discs x 32mm and apparently fits under 17's and the 6 pots are 304 x 28mm or something like that, but the price difference is 15 pounds???????? so why not go 8 pots. All i know is braking is more important than power figures, trust me i learnt the hard way lol! ---------- Post added at 9:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:42 AM ---------- oh btw lads I'm picking my car up from the exhaust shop today and i think you will all be pleasantly surprised as I have chosen the exhaust for power and some how I'm still maintaining the looks, (don't worry no stupid jap cans lol) ....... pics to be uploaded soon enough
  8. hey mate can i get an pic of the bonnet bra and i probably will buy it. cheers kiran
  9. damn thats what i call tight lol that looks wkd mate, they must stop you dead in your tracks lol i think i will be ok on my 8 pots then considering they use 330mm discs but i will deffo look into this more before using up yet another pay cheque lol and 30mm spaces??? DAMN ...how wide was the front track after the spacers, any rubbing issues? either way mate hats off to you
  10. I know its going to be a bit loud but screw it you only live once and its the best thing for reducing my back pressure so why not lol in all honesty i wanted to ideally buy some 16" schmidt th-lines and deck my rado but brakes suited for a VR6T will no way fit under 16's hence i though if i have to buy 17's then i will go for big brakes to fill them lol. what 4 pots you running mate?
  11. i thought the k-sport ones would? if not then i'll either go to brembo/porsche setup or k-sports's six pots i was planning to use the porsche brembos from the carrera rear but i dont know if they are enough to stop me. oh btw whats the max size disc you could go on 17" wheels ---------- Post added at 9:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:55 PM ---------- don't worry about the sunroof - i will get round to sorting it lol oh and thanks, i didn't want to do it at first but I think it works pretty well for looks and flow
  12. i was hoping some one could tell me what sunroof it is lol it came with the car, i guess it was the last owners take on a moon roof. yea i'm off tomorrow to the exhaust shop, getting a custom 3" tig-welded and mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust straight through from turbo to backbox, 1 x flexi and the screamer for my waste gate, but unlike my last turbo car I'm not re-routing it lol ---------- Post added at 8:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:49 PM ---------- cheers mate, how are you finding your VR6T? hows the battle with traction? I noticed you put 17"s on yours. I'm thinking of buying some 8 pot brakes but I need a set of 17's to go over them. anychance you can recommend a good offset and width without rubbing the hell out of my tyre walls?
  13. lol yea the inlet faces down towards the front engine mount direction ---------- Post added at 9:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:38 PM ---------- cheers mate, i fully agree and at the end of the day I wanted to build and map the car myself so why not!
  14. rite guys have taken a few pics before i trailer my car to the exhaust shop!!! more on sunday after the exhaust is made
  15. bought it 7 years back, never used and didn't know i still had it lol t3 flange for turbo, cast mani, new, 75 posted
  16. rite bit of an update, i have fitted my arp rod bolts and checked my clearances and every thing is good in that department. i have fitted my arp head studs the head has been fully rebuilt and the block prepped the head gaskets i bought turned out to be fibre so i returned them and bought the mk4 golf metal ones it bloody started to rain so i didnt get to fit the head but all systems go for tomorrow, weather permitting i know i keep saying it but pics to follow, if it didnt rain today i wouldnt have an issue lol either way i've got a week off work so i should get quite a bit done this week, hopefully. also picked up an oil cooler and filter relocation kit and a black edition avcr boost controller and a 46mm external wastegate can't wait to fit everything !!!
  17. hi guys, cheers for the input on the ecu front. my only issue is that how can an off the shelf map on a standard ecu be better than mapping on a mega squirt? a mapper can do all the calculations in the world based on what mods you tell him you have, but with out physical testing its kinda pointless. and i know you can get a custom map on a live rolling road on a standard ecu, but i want switchable map options, i want self learning with a wide band,i want to add more to the setup as i build and don't want to pay some crazy money for mapping because costs always start low but theres always a problem somewhere and you get shafted with the costs, at the end of the day I will try my best with mega squirt v3 and if all else fails then i mite have to think about other options. you are all right about how much went into development of the ecu but once you go turbo this ecu is not rite for the car in my eyes. I may be wrong but each to there own lol
  18. right its been a little while since I've posted something so this is the latest news. spa turbo mani + holset hx40 = fitting issues lol basically the turbo was a touch to big as it fouled the clutch master, so i had to use my spare T04E turbo until I get everything running and then swap out for a gt35r all pics will follow tomorrow I have an intercooler now, and also bought an apexi avcr boost controller, and 46mm external wastegate pics of the build and the car itself, will be posted tomorrow
  19. if your engine is coil pack can i buy the engine loom?
  20. [Give Emu a shout, he had a lot of turbo hardware for sale !] cheers for that mate
  21. Oh believe me mate lsd is deffo on the list of things to do and I'm hoping lag will be my traction control lol
