Guys, I've brought some decent oil and some click 50 to put in my rado, the problem is I cannot get an oil filter in time for my long journey tommorow. Is it still beneficial for me to go ahead and do the oil change? I was just going to simply drain from the bottom of the sump and replace. Not even going to touch the oil filter at all, or try and drain it.

Thanks for the tip, an extra pair of hands will be on site to help aswell so I'm hoping this is going to be relatively easy. ok guys I'm going to take the screw out and see what happens. I've seen lots of mechs + motor kits on ebay for cheap, are they all universal in compatibility.

OK Guys just an update, I brought a tool kit and some carb cleaner, took the ISV off, gave it a clean (wasn't really that dirty) put it back on and the problem has gone away. don't want to jinx it but it looks like it's been a success!

Hi guys, I was wondering if you could take a look at this pic, it's of my 93 2.9 Corrado. I do have idling probs (horrible idling and stalling) and have yet to diagnose the prob, however I found the following cable just hanging there, what do you think it could be for? Thanks for the reply, is the window particularly heavy, as in if I take the screw out will I be able to support the window. Obviously I don't want the window to just drop and smash.

Well if you're ever in Newquay cruising in your rado and you spot me give us a bib and I'll pull over. I'd love to see another rado up close. It'll either be me or my mate driving it as we are car sharing.

Hi guys, I've decided to take this into a garage and get them to fix the brakes, I've brought new pads, discs and bearings and will just let the professionals take care of this one. With regards to the ISV, I did try to get to it but came unstuck as you need a star alan key, will have to buy a set, what size does it need?

Hi Guys, My left side window is stuck up. If I press the up/down switch I can hear it trying to open but it doesn't move. I decided to take the panel off and this is what I found. If I took the screw out does this mean the window would drop down hard and smash? Can anybody think why the previous owner would do this? it seems like a very drastic measure. Obviously I want to fix this problem so any help into diagnosing it would be helpfull.

i have this exact problem on my vr6, get a grinding noise that goes whoosh whoosh whoosh as the wheel turns, it only does this when driving though.

had it up on a jack and the disc feels a little tight in one spot, also there is no play in the wheel so guess that mean it's not the bearings. Sorry to be lazy but can someone point me to a guide for cleaning the ISV and MAF. I don't have VAGCOM yet, going to see what socket mine is and then order the cable from ebay. I'm going to record a video of the whoosing sound tommorow and post it up. No pictures as yet, we need to do some spraying on the rust first. Me and my mate are sharing the car, he is a professional photographer so once it's all fixed up he's going to take some awesome pictures. I went for a vr6 2.9 in the end. I don't know why I was even worrying, I got 35mpg all the way from clacton to cornwall, cost about £80 in fuel which is very good going.

Hi Guys, I've got my first ever rado, a '93 vr6 2.9, she's a beauty. It has a few problems and I was hoping you could show me some links to absolute beginners diy guides for the following probs. ABS light on: a whoosh whoosh sound coming from rear wheel too, going to check to see if pads later on, if it's a wheel bearing would it be a continoues grind as opposed to a whoos whoosh noise? Crap idling until warm: I've read that this may have something to do with the MAF, how can I diagnose this, newbie guide? I did notice fuse 10 engine electronics had blown so I've replaced that. occasional bucking above 2000rpm when hot: very occasional bucking, like a misfire but with no bang sound, could this all be related to the maf. Left passenger window broken: Again seeking a newbie guide for diagnosing and repair. I don't really know anything about cars if I'm honest, but I'm here to learn, hopefully I can get to a stage of maintaining my rado myself.

The Corrado I'm buying is a K reg. It has a permenant ABS light so I'm presuming it's the pump. Are you saying that my car doesn't have a diagnostics unit? The main reason for getting the unit was so that I can get the car upto mot standards.

I still don't get how a 2.0 8v can be more economical than an 1.8 8v. Is it a newer design?

I want the car mainly for looks if I'm honest, the moment I saw my first corrado I fell in love. But, I do make a lot of long journeys so I am definitely seeking a corrado with the highest fuel economy, more so on long journeys. My current car is a 3.0 mercedes 500 sel, so I'm not stingy on fuel, just hoping to get something a little more economical.

Is this more economical than the 3 different 1.8v engines? I'd really love to get 35mpg on long distance journeys.

Newquay here, don't own a Corrado as yet though. I've been looking on ebay etc but nobody in Cornwall seems to want to sell their Corrados!

Hi Guys, I am looking to buy a Corrado and was wondering if you could help. Which engine is the most economical on fuel. I will be making long distance motorway journeys but would also like it to be fuel effecient for small runs to the next village. I live in Cornwall so I'll be making lots of runs. I know corrado's aren't the most fuel effecient cars but still I'm more interested in economy than performance.
