  1. Fitted a pair of clear side indicators as the plastic had fallen off one! Changed both the door pins as the drivers door wasn't closing properly and hey presto £2.95 later it is! And finally got the Rado booked in for a full TOAD alarm check up and fix as things aren't doing what they should.
  2. Thanks. It was a bit of an ebay gamble that seems to have paid off. Good stuff. Look forward to getting it.
  3. As some of you know I joined the Corrado massive last week. I've just today got the Rado back from being polished / valeted etc and while the sun was shining I thought I'd share the pics with you guys. It's a 1.8 16v looking fairly standard. It needs a bit of TLC as the polish up has highlighted a few areas that need sorting on the the bodywork but I'm pleased with it and will be taking it for a drive to GTI International next Sunday. Anyway here's a few pics for you.
  4. Just to add my interest on a Stealth Shelf too. When's the next batch ready and what's the price?
  5. Nope that's me being a muppet, I meant hole as in one made by a big stone not one in the top corner!! So the one you have is the one I'm after
  6. Aslong as it's not got a hole in like the one that's on now I'll take it! If you pm your paypal or bank details I'll get it sorted Thank you!
  7. I'm looking to upgrade the set up in the Rado, nothing massive just a newer HU upgraded speakers and possibly a small (ish) sub. Any recommendations for ICE shops / installers around Derbyshire would be appreciated.
  8. I've not been since it was down at Wroughton years ago but now I'm back to owning a VW I'm going along on the Sunday.
  9. As the title says I'm after an offside (drivers) front indicator for my 1990 16v. I've called a few breakers and checked ebay etc but no joy. Anyone got one that's in good nick ie not cracked / broken. Thanks in advance.
  10. Thank fook someone speaks sense. To the rest of you, ho ho frikn ho you're so funny, not!
  11. Is there any legal specifics regarding the use of a Snooper device? The Rado I've just bought has a Snooper SD715iS hard wired in. I've taken it out for now until I find out a bit more.....and how it works!!
  12. As you may have read elsewhere on the forum I've recently bought a 1.8 16v. After going through the copious amounts of paperwork that was with it there's no install certificate for the TOAD. I went searching for the "box" and found it. In my TOAD naivety I kind of expected to have the model number etc on it but alas all there was was a 10 digit number. Is it a case of speaking to TOAD directly and they'll be able to ID from this number or do we have a resident TOAD expert in the house? There's a pic here if that helps anyone. Thanks in advance
  13. Thanks, First impressions and it seems straight enough. There's a massive folder of receipts / history etc including all the old MOT's and the 2nd owners original sales invoice. He paid £10,105 for it back in '92 traded in an 87 MR2 for it aswell! Hopefully things will clear up with the misting etc but it's not stopped raining since I collected it yesterday!! I'm going to put it back on as near as I can original ride height as its scraping the car parks and sleeping policeman around my way. The steering wheel's going to as I want an original one back on it.
  14. Just been in town with it and I can safely say it doesn't like multi storey car parks! The springs were put as an "advisory" on the MOT so will change them back to original ones. The plan like you say is to keep it as original as possible. Thanks
  15. Well, I've got it! Picked it up yesterday and had a chilled drive back with it from just South of Brum approx 70 miles. In the advert it was billed as "pretty much standard", not sure about that! It's definitely lowered and has some form of aftermarket exhaust on it plus the cam pulley is red! Having not owned one before it's certainly interesting getting in & out. I'm 5' 11" and it's a bit of a swivel and roll to get out of it and the seat is at it's lowest so my head doesn't bang on the roof lining. Doesn't seem to be any major issues with it apart from the temp gauge fluctuates a bit (see this thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?72925-How-hot-should-a-KR-16v-run ) I'm off out in a bit so will see how it behaves & once the weather sorts itself out I'll post some pics of it. Are Rado's renowned for having misty windows when it's wet? Might sound a bit daft but I really struggled yesterday to keep things mist free. So far so good!
  16. Thanks David, thought it wasn't quite right!
  17. I've just this afternoon picked up my 90 G plate 16v and on the way back the temp gauge was a little erratic. From cold it went and sat just below the 90 mark (middle thick line) as we headed into traffic it went upto just under the 100 and on the mway dropped down to just above 70. Is this normal? It's my first Corrado but I've had 16v mk2 golfs before and don't remember them doing that! Thanks in advance
  18. Might be all gone by now but do you have an offside / drivers indicator as I could do with one.
  19. Thanks for that. Just itching to pick it up now and get going!
  20. Hi all, Thought I'd do the polite thing and say hello! Just joined the forum to enhance my Corrado knowledge as I've just bought a 1990 1.8 16v that I collect next week. I live in Derbyshire just south of Chesterfield so looking forward to getting out into the Peak district with it. I've had Golfs, Audis etc before but have always deep down wanted a Corrado...and now I've got it. I've been on the look out for something different as I run my own business and spend alot of time in my diesel Trafic. The car itself looks totally unmodded apart from a different CD player and still sits on its original Sebring alloys. The only pics I've got at the minute is from the Ebay ad so if you're interested here's the link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261025861135?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_526wt_1344 Chat to you all soon
  21. Hi All, I've recently bought a 1990 1.8 16v which has been SORN for the last 12 months. It was stored indoors so there shouldn't being any bird poo issues etc but what's the advice on any precautions that should be taken? It's having a new MOT & the Cambelt changing as although it was done 2000 miles ago it was back in 2009 so not taking any chances there. Is it worth doing a full fluids change oil, brake fluid etc? Any advice would be great.
  22. Just thought I'd do the polite forum thing and say hello! As it says I've just purchased via Ebay my first ever Corrado. It's a 1990 G Plate 1.8 16v in Silver. I'd been looking to get one for ages as I run my own business and spend most of the time in my van so needed a release from the humdrum and what better way to get it :D The car is unmodded and from what I've seen that's no mods at all apart from a different radio / cd player and still sits on the original Sebring alloys, all the electric works plus it's got masses of history with it. It's having the cambelt changed and a new MOT before I get it as it's been SORN for the last year. The only pics I've got at the moment are from the Ebay ad so if you're interested here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261025861135?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_526wt_1344 Looking forward to picking it up and going to play in the Peak districts lovely roads! EDIT: I've now collected him / her and updated this thread!
