I was quoted £20 per wheel to simply blast or £50 per wheel to strip and powder coat.
-
Thanks! After stripping did you then just use wet & dry before priming and respraying? I appreciate your help!

Hi, I have a set of Corrado Esoril Wheels that have a bad case of peeling lacquer. As a result there is some corrosion under he lacquer and I now need to get the wheels stripped to then resprayed. I've got quotes for restoring them but all way too much, so plan to so myself. So, onto my question.... As I do not have a sand blaster at my disposal, what product would you guys and girls recommend for stripping lacquer and paint off my alloys? I've been told that nitromors is an option, but have also seen some negative reviews stating it can cause bad pitting. Can anyone advise? Thanks all...

Some recent photo's taken from my 1993 2.0 16v project that I've wanted to share. Still my daily commute and favourite past-time, but sadly I may be selling soon. On that subject does anyone know of some decent VW shows near Farnborough, Hants in the next few months? Thanks :)

Hey, how about the exterior roof mouldings? Those that run full length down each side of the roof? Are they in good condition and if so, how much? Cheers, Topcat147

Okay guys and gals, I too had this problemand got a new one, but fear I may have fitted the wrong one as oil isn't registering at all. Have been on German and Swedish site and it details correct length dipstick funnel for your car, so this is a good way to figure out if you've the right one or not! Happy days!

Great stuff, thanks for your help and advice! I had 16's in mind anyway, so that fits in well with what you've said. Exactly the info I was after, so thanks again, I'll get some photos uploaded soon. Liking your projects!

Hi, Can anyone help me? I have just bought my first ever Corrado, so you can imagine the thrill and excitement! What im wondering is if anyone can share details of what type of alloy wheel is suitable? I have a 1993 2.0 16v model with 4 x 100 PCD, but what is the best offset for this car and what about spigot size? Thanks in advance, Newbie Nige, aka Topcat147
