  1. Could there be a connection between any of this lot: ABS light sometimes stays on. Stopping and turning the ignition off and on again resets it and then it can be alright for weeks. The wipers sometimes won't start except in the full speed position, but then switching to a lower speed is OK. The heater blower started playing up last week - occasionally it won't come on at all, or the fan speed drops. Mostly it's OK, though it has been a noisy for a while. Just worn bearings maybe? Before cleaning the car (doesn't a year just fly by), I put the spoiler up using the under-dash switch and now it won't go back down. It hasn't been making any graunching noises as if it needs lubricating. The fuses are OK. I wondered if the load reduction relay might be involved, but decided not as it clicks healthily when I turn the ignition key. The rev counter needle often flicks about, or goes back to zero for a while, but works some of the time (thought it was the wobbly pin on the back, but the resistance across my test meter doesn't change when I wiggle it.) It seems strange that these things are happening one after the other, but I suppose it could be just corradoincidence? ('92 G60 85 000 miles)
  2. This thread seems to have gone cold (have just found it via search for mats) - is the mats GB still on? If so I'd be interested in a set of light grey deluxe, Corrado logo in black at D2 i.e. as similar as poss. to original. Fairly urgent as the driver's is worn through, so will order independently if the GB's stalled.
  3. From time to time the wipers won't start from the intermittent or normal speed positions, but only by switching to full speed. Once they're going at full speed, the other settings then work normally. The ABS warning light has come on a couple of times recently, the last time when braking hard on a wet road, when the sudden loss of ABS wasn't welcome. Both times the problem was cured by stopping and turning the ignition off and back on again. I've read the thread about ABS wheel sensors, but I'm inclined to think it's electrical in my case. Could the two problems (wipers and ABS) be related in any electrical way, or is it just coincidence?

    Optimum fuel

See http://www.chris-longhurst.com/carbibles/ for additives. I use Quantum semi- synthetic in the engine. Slick 50's supposed to be good in the gearbox but I didn't notice any difference. It gets discounted Safeway cooking unleaded for wifely pootling in town and Optimax for proper journeys - noticed it went better in France where super unleaded is cheaper and easily available. It's not a VR but G60s deserve good food too.
  5. Used two 6X2 998 406. Didn't need passenger side blade 1J2 955 425A. They work. Grinding the original arms didn't - still juddered. I think they look neater than originals. :D
