1. Received my pass today, many thanks, look forward to meeting you all.
2. Could be a bad earth? try using a jump lead with one end on engine/gearbox bolt head and other end on battery earth. This will act as a good earth. Or as others have said it could be a poor supply, If you have a multimeter? put it on scale 20v DC and whilst someone holding key in start position measure voltage between starter main connection and battery positive pole, your allowed 0.3 - 0.5 voltage drop max. if it shows high volts you have a poor connection somewhere.
3. Spotted a few this weekend...... Blue VR6 in Hemel Hempstead old town parked up a side road. A Silver raddo up near millbrook on Sunday coming the other way. And then various at Santa Pod VW Festival Sunday afternoon.
4. Hi, I would be really interested in adding my car to the display if poss? I have just registered so just waiting on confirmation.
5. Spotted a Dark Green, possible VR6? at ATS tyre centre in Welwyn Garden City this afternoon, looked in good condition.
6. Hey Chris, Im over Hemel a fair bit so will keep eye open.
7. I may be interested in the meet up. im in Herts, but not far from North london area.
8. On my 1995 16v, that wire attaches to a sensor by the cylinder head cover, alternator end, by the injectors, its the under bonnet temp sensor and helps prevent fuel vaporization when the car is hot and not running.
9. Managed to get mine open today.. Pulled the trim away enough to get in and see that the lever that is operated by the outer handle had stuck down. pulled it up and lubricated it all with WD40 and now working correctly. I even done the other side just incase it had any ideas!! Thanks for the link Wullie.
10. I have the same problem but on passenger side... button will not come up, outer handle will not open it or inner handle. I think its my lock unit seized, but also need to try and remove the trim without damaging it too much. will be my weekend job i think if weather cheers up? good luck with yours.
11. Thanks for the posts, glad this is normal :thumbleft:

Fuel Gauge...

Hi All, When I drive my Corrado, the fuel gauge drops when accelerating and rises when braking, Is this a common issue? seem to remember my Mk2 golf doing something similar but thought would check that this is normal? Its a 1995 16v. Thanks, Jochen.
13. Hi All, I have had my Corrado off the road for 28 days now and I think it now has the hump!! I went to unlock it to put some bits in it and the passenger door will not unlock, the button try's to go up then goes back down, I can not pull it up from inside as it just pulls back down. It seems it is dead locked shut, I am thinking the lock unit must have seized. and I will try disconnecting the pump and try to pull the button up then next weekend. Has any other people had similar issues? and how did you get it open? Thanks, Jochen.
14. Sorry, just seen pictures, and no your right, that tool did not cause hole, as previously mentioned, looks like something was dropped down and then engine was turned over, the lobe that can be seen through the hole is one that operates injector 1 and my guess would be they may have dropped or left loose the adjuster or locking nut for cylinder 1 injector, and on roadtest or when idling in workshop it has come off and dropped down e.t.c. there is no way that would have been like that or weak before it went in for the campaign.
15. Hi, I work at a Audi dealer, and we carry out the same campaign on A3's and A4's with the same engine. The injectors are held in by two stretch bolts (5Nm) and then there is a special tool to pull them out, this has no contact with the cylinder head. When fitting the new injectors however, there is a brace bar which needs to be fitted towards the rear of the cylinder head, and is held in place by using a couple of the cam cover securing bolt holes in the cylinder head, this acts as a pivot to push the injectors firmly into the head onto there seat. depending where the hole was? if they had not fitted this bar correctly could have caused stress and broken the head? have you got a picture of the broken area?
16. Had to SORN mine today  Until I sell my A4 Avant, then Corrado will be daily driver.
17. Seems standard apart from suspension.. Full history, folder full of receipts. Lots of MOT's and Tax discs. Original complete Handbook pack. Original PDI sheet. Original Brochure and spec list. Really pleased with it and looking forward to giving it a good polish etc Hope to take it to some shows this year?
18. Would be interested in front wings :thumbleft:
19. Thanks for all the replies..... I think as I only do short journeys to work and back then it may become a daily driver, I have been using it for the last few days and every time I drive it I smile a little, my A4 is very comfortable and easy to drive, but also boring.
20. Having recently brought my first corrado, I was wondering how many people use them as there daily drive or not? I have a A4 as my daily driver, but after using the corrado I am so tempted to sell the Audi and use the Corrado as my daily driver but don't want to ruin it e.t.c
21. Hi, Many thanks for the advise Goldie, I have found someone breaking a Red late model so fingers crossed... Hi Edd, many thanks for the offer of the wing anyway :thumbleft: Im not the Jochen you know of tho, although a Mk2 G60 would have been nice lol. Thanks again, Jochen.
