hi all this is something i really dont want to do but time has come to break my corrado. where to start, well for sale is my corrado 9a 16v ive only owned this car for a 6 months as i brought it so i could sort my golf out but things have all changed now on the whole the rado is a very straight car no nasty dents or deep scratches, underside is solid from what ive seen and felt when ive looked under her. There are a nice few suttle mods that have been done to the rado nothing over the top so to speak. MPG doesnt work on the clocks and reads 99.9 all the time never bothered me. horn needs wiring into button on the steering wheel. Rust on all 4 arches was going to get this sorted but no time now. Its had a respray at somepoint and theres over spray on the boot lifters and little bit on wing mirror glass but not bad. the shell has done 190,000 miles but engine has done around 140,000. Front spliter is cracked but ive got a spare to go with the car if price is right, same with the drivers door as its rusty at the bottom but ive got a spare door to go with car at the right price. Rust on drivers side rear window around the seal at where it goes into a point. The main down fall is i had the core plug go on me but ive had it replaced but the garage told me they think the head gasket might of gone im picking the rado up in the morning to see how it is and there not pulling a fast one on me. Saying this tho in with the sale ive got a mk3 vr6 engine, gear box, ecu, wiring loom, rad and fans with slam pannel, gear linkage, sub frame, abs pump, clutch cylinder, engine mounts and auxiliarys. engine has done 88,000 miles but i cant prove this tho it came out of a running car and pulled really well. think that is everything here are a few pics of the car at different points i can take more if people want me to these are the wheels it will come with, pics on the multi coloured bbs rz are to show the tinted lights and final pic to show on my rs reps. Hi all need help asap. The core plug on my 9a has come out slightly on the one side and coolant is coming out. Is there a trick to getting them in as i cant seem to be able to get to it. The manifold is in the way and its starting to do my head in i need help before i break anything in temper. Sonis there a trick to doing this please. Dan

Hi all ive got some kr cams to fit to my 9a corrado. Just wondering if there is a guide anywhere i can follow? I dont want to get it wrong. If there is no guide can anyone recomend somewhere in the west midlands who they would use to fit them? Dan

Thats something else i can check then which is good. Stupid question time where is the speed sensor? For a guess somewhere on the gearbox? Probably not and i sound crazy :)

My dizzy wires have gone inside my dizzy on my corrado 9a my question is will the dizzy fit off a mk2 golf gti 8v? I know i could solder them just want to know if i can swap them

Best way of checking for leaks?? Take pipes off and refit? Look for splits? Anything else?? Driving me mad

ive swaped my 9a's inlet manifold for a kr on earlier today since doing so my car will not start right or tickover either. everything is connect right and im at a loose end and need help asap. tried the 9a tb and the kr one and no difference. dont know if the throtle cable is worng now as i messed with it to get it off. here is how it looks now any advice welcome need to get it running by tomorrow afternoon. thanks dan ---------- Post added at 4:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:44 PM ---------- Just to add aswel. When it does fire up if you rev it it sounds like its missing untill about 3000rpm but wont idle just cuts out

I would take it back aswel mate if i was you. Like you say when your spending that kind of money you expect it to be bang on. From what ive seen on the underside all the oem hangers are still intack so im hoping it should be a straight forward fit. Looks like this is the system i might go for. Thats sounding like its what im after. I like an exhaust to have a nice grumble on idle and when you press the shouty peddle for the exhaust to respond. Like the system ive got on my mk2 golf altho that runs rich so when ur giving it sound and change gear around 5500rpm it back fires :) i think i will look into this jetex system then mate. I know its a long shot but if your bored and get 5mins could you do a video of the sound? If not its ok but thanks for all the info :)

Where did you buy it from? As for fitting i can do that myself no problem. What kind of tail pipe does the system come with? Ant pics mate
