  2. Hi All, Just Bern looking at your posts about car insurance. I've just re-insured my Corrado vr6 with Sureterm Direct and paid £250 for one year. I have 2 years NCD. I was quoted £650 by Adrian Flux!! Hope this helps! Paul
  3. Hi to the guy who wants to buy a corrado g60. I spoke to a couple of guys in the know and they told me to go for the vr6 cos of the problems with the g60 supercharger (ie the cost of repairing one guy's charger was £3000). I bought a vr6 and haven't looked back! They're one he'll of a car to drive!
  4. Thanks for the extra help everyone. I will post a few pictures on here when I find out how to do this! After 5 days I got the ignition switch put in by my mechanic. The corrado started first time and has started every morning first time whatever the weather. What a car!!! I realize now that the switch must have been faulty for months because there was no resistance when I turned the ignition key. When the ignition switch was repaired there was resistance when I turned the key in the lock. It's now been almost two weeks and the car's running perfectly. The car had been making a lot of noise (like a loud whirring) for many months so much that I couldn't hear the radio on loud! I realized it must have been the wheel bearings and it was the 2 rear wheel bearings! I bought the corrado in January 2012 and it's taken until now for me to sort it mechanically. The next step is to sort the paintwork!! The car's leaking brake fluid but my mechanic says he can't find the leak unless he takes the engine out (which he won't do!!). Any suggestions please? At the moment I'm topping up the brake fluid bottle every week or so! Does anyone know of a reliable mechanic in the Bournemouth (Dorset) area? Thanks!
  5. I'm in Bournemouth, Dorset. Thanks for the help so far people! Cheers!
  6. Hi All, I sold my Nissan Micra in December 2010 and was looking at buying a Subaru Impreza or something similar. I then saw a Corrado vr6 advertised. It seemed great so I bought it within a few days for £1400. (At that time it had done 131K with a good service history). Since then, I have spent about £1000 on it (servicing, new leather interior, maintenance etc). I haven't regretted this at all as I've found the corrado to be a fantastic car all-round! I'd appreciate some advice as my Corrado has refused to start. After turning off the immobilizer with a key, I insert the ignition key and turn it but nothing happens. My mechanic says he's found a fault with the ignition switch but he isn't certain. The car sometimes start for me and then doesn't later on!! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Paul
