  1. Cats.!

Any more feedback on these coilovers? How firm are they? Are they easy to adjust?and would a novice like me be able to fit them myself? Does anyone know how they compare with the supersport ones as these were my first choice but @ £200 I'm seriously tempted

    cheers

  2. Dammit! Been following this group buy thread and I'm really really tempted, just don't know if i can justify the initial lump sum of £1100!! There are other things i planned on doing 1st, like new engine mounts and bushes all round oh and the front bearings, there's always something to spend it on I s'pose, It's bloody tempting.....

  3. Hi BlueVR6,

as far as cost for the slave cylinder is concerned its £40 from the stealer it was the same price from euro car parts, haven't fitted mine yet, but it doesn't look like a difficult job, also maybe bleeding the system might help your probs in the short term.

    HTH,

  4. After a closer inspection of the plugs and also the HT leads I was thinking that they may be the source of the problem, greenish corrosion happening on both ends, so after reading other threads I thought I'd just pop in my local stealers and get them, they said a couple of days and at the most 3 for new plugs, leads and the metal hazet tool to arrive, fine I thought I'll fit them at the weekend but they phoned me friday afternoon and said the tool's arrived but the plugs and leads could take 2 weeks to arrive  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! and the worst thing of all is I've already paid :x

Bleeding Annoying thing of all is I start a new job in Milton Keynes on Monday (over an hour drive for me) and I was hoping to resolve these probs by then!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR again and again and again

  6. My VR has been a bit under the weather, sounding like its misfiring generally not very happy, doesn't rev very smoothly and starts jerking and bucking in 3rd 4th and 5th gear, idle is lumpier than usual too, leads seem fine, coilpack too, will check plugs when i get that extracter tool thing, reading other posts I tried disconnecting the MAF (engine died, I take it thats what its supposed to do) but checking around I found this split in this hose and I don't know what it is, any help guys? Would this cause my probs??

    Cheers

    Eug.

  7. Hello All :D

I recently purchased my VR6 from another forum member (shamvr69) and I'm v happy with it, but it has started misfiring a little bit, sometimes when idling and sometimes when driving, it had a recent full service 400 miles ago so I'm thinking that plugs and leads 'should' be fine. I had a friend look at the fault codes on a Sun diagnostic tool and it returned these fault codes:

01242 - final stage in control module

    01249 - injector no. 1(wiring?)

    00537 - lambda sensor

    00513 - engine speed sensor G28

so I'm thinking of taking a look at the injector rail and wanted to know if it's a straightforward job are there any pitfalls I need to be aware of (barring replacing the manifold gasket!) and also would the other fault codes all be related just to the misfiring?

Good to see the forum back on line,
