Mk3 Golf Auto VR6 - Location of diagnostic socket.

Anyone know where the diagnostic sockets for VAGCOM are located on an auto VR6 golf mk3 (1994 L plate), and what style connector it uses.

Wondered about that, but as it's an Auto it doesn't have a boot as such. It's a mates car and I haven't got my mits on it yet to tear it apart!

mine's a 97 16v and its in the dash next to the ashtray, i dont what style it is but its got 16 pins,dont know if this helps??

Yep, all Mk3's are the same, just remove the blanking plate next to the ashtray.
