MK4 brakes all round/ tools I need are?

Recommended Posts

I think the caliper is held onto the carrier's sliders with that big clippy thing on the front of the caliper? I was trying to work that out myself last night with all the bits laid out on the carpet, LOL!

Hmmm carpet + calipers - wife's boot and my bollox = high speed contact.

Seriously I'll have a look tonight, the nuts next to the bellows looked promising.

p.s. I'm talking about rears.

Guys if I do this upgrade to Rear mk4's

will I require a newer type handbrake cable as The local expert reckons its longer on the newer model of Corrado.

The car is a 89 16valver

Right, let's put this one to bed and into plain english...

The rear MKIV calipers are a DIRECT swap for the ones fitted to the corrado as standard (be they MKII or MKIII based) as long as you use the conversion brake pipes.

NOTHING other than the caliper and brake hose needs to be changed to do this conversion. The standard handbrake cables, pads and disks WILL fit.

Chubby? Handbrake cables are the same on ALL Corrados. ;)
