sony headunit/multi changer problems

This ones for a mate of mine with a MGTF. Shes got a xplod headunit with a multichanger in the boot. It 'was' working fine, but now every time the engine is turned off the headunit needs the reset button pressing before it will find the multi changer. It doesnt loose radio stations or anything so i dont think its the perminant live causing problems. any ideas anyone?

check the connection pins, any lose or bent?

look for damage in the wire, any splits ?
