chuck 0 Posted May 25, 2003 How much is a water pump pulley - the one with two pulleys separated by a plastic bearing.? Mines shot, rattling all the time now. (obviously I though the worst, first I was convinced a cam bearing cap nut had come loose and was rattling under rocker cover :shock: , then was sure there was a bolt or something in the water pump :? ) It definately is the pulley though as I took it off and rattle had gone, and so has most of the plastic bearing. :( Is this common to any other car? RobyD 0 Posted May 25, 2003 I've got this on my 16v too. The water pump pulley has a bit of play in it. Probably quick fix , but i just tightened up the belt a bit which has solved it so far... (about 5 months back now) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
