theRuler 0 Posted October 19, 2004 twist it with some BIG GRIPS but make sure the seal doesnt receive any BIG RIPS in the process.
KADVR6 0 Posted October 19, 2004 have tried that 1 mate. but it will just not go on? at the moment the piston is not on at all. is it just a case a keep on trying? or is there something else you do? :(
theRuler 0 Posted October 19, 2004 i cant remember whether the piston twists in or not. if it does, it will have provision on it to put a bar across it and twist failing that, get a g cramp on it. once it starts to move it will ease in without too much fuss. Blue_Joe 0 Posted October 19, 2004 It does twist in and out - Personally I would go and spend the £20 to get a piston rewind tool from your local motor factors. Doing it any other way is exceedingly hard work and you run the high risk of knackering the piston and then it's new calipers time!!!! The rear calipers are notoriously bad at seizing so spend the £20 on the right tool or it cousl be £100 for a new set of calipers :(
