rear calipers

have tried that 1 mate. but it will just not go on? at the moment the piston is not on at all. is it just a case a keep on trying? or is there something else you do? :(

i cant remember whether the piston twists in or not.

if it does, it will have provision on it to put a bar across it and twist

 

failing that, get a g cramp on it. once it starts to move it will ease in without too much fuss.

It does twist in and out - Personally I would go and spend the £20 to get a piston rewind tool from your local motor factors. Doing it any other way is exceedingly hard work and you run the high risk of knackering the piston and then it's new calipers time!!!! The rear calipers are notoriously bad at seizing so spend the £20 on the right tool or it cousl be £100 for a new set of calipers :(

good advice there! i have used pipe grips on mine in the past (and on other cars)

but then i havent ever had a real "sticker"

thanks for all yor good advice AGAIN. got the proper tool. and it went in very smooth. did not even have to use K.Y jelly. :D
