smiff 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I've finally fixed the horn on my car. But I think it needs new trumpets. The low tone seems squeeky, kinda like a clowns car....no good! Instead of buying a straight VW replacement, what are my choices in terms of getting a good loud aftermarket horn? Something that fits straight on. coolrado 0 Posted October 30, 2004 it might be possible to adjust your squeeky horn if there is a screw on the back of the horn slowly adjust it in and out while someone presses the horn im not sure wheather the corrado horn has this screw but its worked on other cars ive had
Supercharged 2 Posted October 30, 2004 I think halfords sell a pair of almost direct replacements, you will have to cut the OE plugs off tho...
Skimask 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I bought the Halfords horns, they are a straight replacement. I can't remember having a problem with the existing wiring though?? Maybe I had swapped the terminals over from the old horns. IIRC, It didn't take long at all!!
