K+N Air Filter Question

My mate is giving me his old K+N filter off his g60.

 

Just wondering will it fit my 16v??

 

Its a H plate 91 Bosch K-jet etc etc if thats any help.

It won't fit mate. The closest thing you can get to an induction kit for K-Jet is a product from PiperX which is a complete foam replacement for the bottom of the airbox.

This is a K+N replacement panel filter though, not an induction kit so does the same apply? Will the panel filter still not fit my 16v??

I'm not sure if it will, just try it. Should only take a few mins to see.

If it doesn't get the drill and hole cutter out and mod the bottom of the air box and bang a Jetex panel filter in their.

No, Its won't fit! - the G60's and the VR's have a different size airbox to the 16V's

Well i gave my k&n panel filter to my brother who has a k-jet 16v golf fitted fine! i would of thought the air box is the same on the rado is it not?

Yeh man ive got a rad G60 one in my rad 16v, fits sweet and notes large
