alby 0 Posted December 1, 2004 this is my second corrado. 1.8 16v fairly standard bar the 90's and a crap dtm stainless exhaust . everything works and its got leccy recaros :D
Bora Bora 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Like them Design 90's and thats answered how they would look on my car! How did you go about getting them to fit? Adapter plates or changing the hubs? Also what suspension is it sitting on?, it looks just what I fancy. As mine has gotta be a daily driver.
alby 0 Posted December 1, 2004 i used 20mm adaptors i bought for 120 quid from ebay.tbh they are better quality than the h and r ones i use to have on my golf. the wheels are 8 inch rear and sevens up front. confession to make on the suspension.it was photoshopped by someone on cgti  it actually looks like this but without the rubbing strips suspension is next on the shopping list.i dont think i would run it that low tbh. VR6 0 Posted December 1, 2004 IMHO that top pic looks ridiculous. Second pic is much better! Wheels suit the car 8)
Bora Bora 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Lol, and theres me thinking it was real. Looks like you had a few of us fooled!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 1, 2004 Yeah top pic is too low...somewhere inbetween the two would be ideal. Don't polish them either, I think they look better standard - less maintenance too
coullstar 0 Posted December 1, 2004 Nice!! If I was going for 16"'s it would be these or ATS 6 spokes. Are you the same Alby (grey Mk2 VR) from CGTI?
alby 0 Posted December 2, 2004 yeah, the same alby from cgti :D i agree the top pic is way too low for everyday use.i need to search this forum to find some pics of my ideal ride height.i would go coilovers again but dont fancy spending more than half what the car owes me on suspension :( i need to sort something out for the rear lights too.i can only seem to find crystal rears.coulstar did you tint yours yourself?i have a spare set of lights from our last rado.i could start experimenting
turbomagikz 0 Posted December 2, 2004 nice white un ! sweet wheels , i find mine spot on for everyday use . no fortunes wasted !!!!

coullstar 0 Posted December 2, 2004 yeah, the same alby from cgti :D coulstar did you tint yours yourself?i have a spare set of lights from our last rado.i could start experimenting  Yeah I did mine myself using that tint spray adn some lacquer. They dont look that great up close but I prefer tham to the FK/Inpros are they are too lexus light looking for me. Pic of them on my old car. They still flash orange. alby 0 Posted December 2, 2004 yeah, not too keen on the inpro/fk jobs any more.we had the m3 style crystal smoked lights on our last one.that was a dark coloured car tho.not sure on a white one. next decision is all red or half smoked :? decisions decisions

alby 0 Posted December 13, 2004 in a complete turn around i took some polished bbs g60 wheels in p/x for the design 90's.so that was very short lived.i didnt think they suited the car like they did on my old golf. lowering is a must.i'm still undecided whether to go for a fixed height kit or coilies.need to do some research on the kits available and what the ride height/quality is like something has to be done with the rear lights.i tried half smoking a spare set we had from the last rado but they came out really crap.looks like its going to have to be the fk smoked jobs. its got a couple of bubbles of rust under the paint on the front arches that need sorting and i might get the rear end smoothed at thew same time.probably wont be until the summer tho. its also got a scorpion dtm system on it but i want to change the back box cos it looks crap. i'm gonna leave the engine alone for now.i rarely use the car and its been a couple of years since i had a pretty quick car so i dont really notice the performance loss against my old vr atm.no doubt that will change when i meet one on the road.lol
Bally 0 Posted December 14, 2004 The porka rims are cool, but very common.. I'd go for Coilovers, I had lowering springs & was never happy with em I tinted my rear lamps all red, looked cool, had two sets but got fedup with the police so went for FK rear lamps.. the bodywork on my car needs attn, no point now, waiting til the weather gets better!! didnt you have a MK2 VR??
alby 0 Posted December 14, 2004 yeah i used to have a 211bhp 2.9 vr mk2.theres vids of it on designadubs.its not a 2.9 anymore
alby 0 Posted February 8, 2005 now on design 90's again and fk coilovers
Bally 0 Posted February 8, 2005 looks sweet mate, would have lower though.. what sizes are you running?
alby 0 Posted February 8, 2005 theres room for another 30 mm or so on the front. the rears have another 45mm left on the threads but ive got some issues with the rear tyres and the spring platforms. front tyres are 195 45 16 and the rears are 215 45 16. i bought the wheels and tyres as a package and they are all brand new.personally i'd have gone for 205 or even 195's on the rear.but beggars cant be choosers. im on the hunt for some 30mm adaptors for the rears so then i can lower it all round. Bally 0 Posted February 8, 2005 Brand new? were form mate? what i meant to ask was how wide the rims are... try n go for FK spacers..
alby 0 Posted February 8, 2005 sorry. 8's on the rear 6's on the front
