Furkz 0 Posted December 10, 2004 can anyone tell me if 17x8 rims will fit on my car without arch mods should be et 35 60mm drop not coils Thanks
MickeyT 0 Posted December 10, 2004 I've got 17X8's on mine (et 35) and you'll definitely need coilovers as the wheels will foul the strut. Will probably need a spacer as well.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 11, 2004 17x8 with 215 section tyres on mine too and normal mcpherson struts. 40-45mm drop. My arches are standard and the only catching I get is on the nearside rear over big bumps, but only with weight in the back. 205 tyres will solve that though. MickeyT 0 Posted December 11, 2004 Think there are some photos in the members area but roughly speaking you can get a finger between the top of the trye and arch. As kev mentioned I run 205's and only get rubbing when hacking it two up, over bumps and the like. I have had to users spacers though to space the inside on the tyre wall away from the coilover platforms.
